Mark Cuban talks about prejudice

no he is a straight shooter and people don't like straight shooters. he only tells it like it is and people don't want to hear that.
nothing he said was wrong or out of line.

Didn't say he was wrong, but look at Sterling. Billionaire. Idiot.

so you can't apply that to cuban. they are two totally seperate people.

I just did, both let their mouths get them in trouble.

yea and well you are wrong. mark didn't say anything wrong and only people that are constantly looking to be offended thinks that he did

Mark Cuban of Dallas Mavericks discusses own prejudices, how he handles them - ESPN Dallas

And......here we go.

Here come the lazy victim-card addicts running for another dose of "my life is a disaster because of rich white men."

Cuban is 1000 percent right, but he's getting skewered. These days, we turn the Trayvons and Rodney Kings into little angels for the purpose of hanging white men from the closest tree.

Now, Cuban's our new Racist for the Day. I'm sure Donald Sterling is grateful for him taking the baton.

White people just need to learn to live with double standards and shut the hell up.
Eh, I appreciate his honesty about his own prejudices, but the rest of his comments are garbage.

African-Americans have help from the gov't and help from the media. Still they're, as a group, unsuccessful. When is anyone going to care enough about the welfare of African-Americans to except the fact that African-American's CULTURE has a whole lot to do with their failures?

Quote me saying he was wrong. Cuban has yet to learn that his mouth will continue to run and get him in trouble. Maybe is just a matter of opinions, but seems like there are many that are calling him wrong.
If you haven learned that you must censor your mouth when there is a microphone in your face and a target on your checkbook, you are an idiot.

Did they miss the bit when he also mentioned about the white skinhead with tattoos?

It's amazing how people imagine successful billionaires idiots? I can't stand obummer but I wouldn't call him an idiot. I use to laugh at those who thought W was dumb....so dumb he beat gore and Kerry but then I guess they must be real idiots?

Cuban is an iconic character likely to take the mantle from trump as one people look up to as a model of success in our country.

Trump? He would only be Trump if he went bankrupt a half a dozen times.

What's crossing a street going to do for you? Seriously if someone has an intention to harm you a road between the two of you isn't going to do much to stop him.

Oppourtunity.

So because he is a person who is high profile and constantly has a microphone stuffed in his face by people wanting his opinion, he should just say what they want to hear? He isn't entitled to his own opinion? Do you think he cares that they are targeting his checkbook? I bet he does, and I bet he knows exactly what he can say and how much it will cost. I am sure people calling him an idiot keeps him up all night crying into his billions.

I don't see what the big deal is, the comments I read were fine. Something a lot of people don't seem to understand, you can say just about anything if you are honest and sincere, but not hateful. It's hate speech that gets you in trouble.

Any support for your claim that Cuban is being attacked by anything more than a few nutsacks on the internet?

It looks like the majority are saying his remarks are reasonable albeit a bit clumsy

I agree. I just watched a segment about this on ESPN. The consensus there was Cuban could have used a better example, but there was nothing racist at all in his remarks. We all have our prejudices, biases, our likes and dislikes, that just the way it is.

Saw the same one, but the did conclude that commish Silver will be pressed to make a statement on the matter, which is where the real fun is going to start.

Cute racism.

I believe we are seeing the cost of making your opinion clear. Billions nor not. Notice Jay Leno kept his opinions to himself. Now he has tons of them.

Why don't you ask Cliven Bundy or Jimmy the Greek about opinions.

Cuban is a smart guy, so I believe he made the statements to make a point re: Stearling. The rest of the NBA owners better think long and hard about punishing someone for their opinion, lest they be on the other side of the pitchforks tomorrow.

I watch him on Shark Tank. He's actually brilliant. He's in a business where his mouth is his PR firm. I'd be interested to see quotes that have gotten him in trouble. I doubt his definition of "in trouble" agrees with yours.

I do too. He's very intelligent. He sees ways to leverage certain items that none of the others on shark tank can even grasp. He just comes off as very intelligent, by far the most intelligent on that show.

Seems rather silly to me. I mean getting the commissioner involved.

But that is not how the race baiters are going to take it and you know it.
