Just look at this website. 90% of people, consciously or otherwise, equate racism with socially meaningless bigotry and even mitigating measures.

But why does it matter if you believe what I say? It's the truth. I have no investment in whether or not you believe the truth. In fact, I would say you have the bigger investment in that one. I also don't believe that you would respond to education on the subject. So, would you like some references or not? Since I have no internal motive to give them to you, the only thing that could compel me to provide any is a request. Do you have a request, Glen?
 
I would be surprised of anyone who's in there 80's who doesn't use the "N" word be it Negro or nigger.

When someone in there 60's or 80's refers to someone as a "dude" it's an insult, it's the same as calling someone a ***** or pantywaist.

Remember it wasn't blacks who decided one day that the "N word" was a derogatory term but some white beard scratching liberal who decided for them.

Pick up any newspaper published during the 1800's to the late 1960's and the word "Jap" was used in place of Japanese all of the time. It didn't become a derogatory term until some white liberal decided it was during the early 1970's.

I knew more than a few dozen ROK Marines (Republic of Korea) who referred to Vietnamese as "gooks." Are they racist because they adopted U.S. military slang ?

I suppose older Americans take individual freedoms more seriously than others and don't like white beard scratching liberals telling them what words they can use and not use.

Dude, not true, and not cool. You don't even understand your own motives, what led you to say that.

Let me ask you a few questions:

1) Do you know it when you're not liked, when you're wanted somewhere, even when the people there claim that they do like you and want you there? Of course you do. And once you figure out that you're not liked or wanted, do you stick around?

2) Assuming that you're like almost everyone else and would not stick around, what makes you think that 98% of African Americans and the vast majority of the other minorities, if the liberals are as racist as you claim, would not be able to see right through it, and would choose to stick around anyway? And before you answer, don't even give the "they want handouts" line because this also applies to Asian Americans who are the highest-educated, highest-income ethnic group in America.

It depends on his intent. Does he hate black folks? I mean, black folks call each other nigger all the time and it isn't considered racist, and spare me the, "but, that's different", bull****.

I believe racism exists in action, not words. Some people grew up hearing, "nigger", and just don't know any better. Some people really believe that there's a difference between black folks and niggers and those same people believe that you don't have to be black to be a nigger. This dude is 80! When he was a teenager, nigger was probably an accepted, or at least tolerated word.

Now, because he called Obama a nigger does that make him a racist? Does it mean, absolutely, that he hates black folks? We have no way of knowing. He could possibly treat black people better than the biggest do-gooder Libbo in the world. He might be extremely well liked and respected among the black folks that live near him. I find it extremely small minded to label this man a full-blown racist because he said nigger, especially in light of the same people who are condemning him are the same ones who defend the use--and use the terms themselves--of afore mentioned racial slurs.
