Rams select Michael Sam, NFL's first openly gay player [W:282]

When you can bust the resurrection of Christ then you'll BEGIN to have some credibility with that claim.

What you continually seem to imply is that YOUR faith is THE faith and that because of that you can dictate the morality of others in accordance to the rules of YOUR faith. Is that accurate?

LOL...walk on water for me. Yet another fairy tale.

There's no lengths to which you folks will go to try to justify sodomy/sin.

Gotta love the religious right. So compassionate. So full of forgiveness. So nonjudgmental. So Christlike. Oh wait.

The truth is the truth. You'd prefer you Christ-deniers dictate what's right and wrong, right?

If / when you drop down to the Pit, remember who tried to warn you. It wasn't your like-minded buddies.

What pit? Oh, I forgot, hell is one of your fairy tales. Got it.

Wow, you got it bad dude. Fortunately, the American people don't agree with you. Sucks doesn't it? Oh, sorry, bad choice of metaphors there.

I don't know what Mad Magazine you've been reading, but the American people are overwhelmingly Christian. Right at about 70% or more. You're the one in the minority.

I sure as hell would. Clearly your version of right and wrong is twisted.

Mad magazine? Why would you quote a book of fiction? Oh wait, you have been doing that all day.

How ironic that all of those Christians, most appear to disagree with you. Let's check some facts shall we?

That's why America is going down the sewer.

Of course it is.

Does this mean you're joining the NFL thread this year.

I notice you're from La.
Do they have a team ?

Yes, here on planet Earth, there's an NFL team in Louisiana.

Which means exactly nothing when it comes to law. You see the fundamental right of every American to worship as they want is part of the greatness of this country. While your selective outrage over a so-called sin is cute it should have no bearing on law. You don't have to associate with people who you think are in the state of sin, that is your right and I defend it. But that is as far as it goes. As a culture we don't engage is choosing which sins we should hide.

So I will ask you again....without an answer I think people will see what you are.

Where is your outrage when an adulterer is drafted? Or someone who eats pork? Or someone who has sex out of wedlock? Where is your outrage?

You never answered my previous question from Post #125:

Are you trying to defend sodomy as not being sinful?

Answer the question?

I'll answer that. Yes, it is not sinful.

Re: http://www.latimes.com/sports/football/nfl/la-sp-michael-sam-nfl-draft-20140511-s

it's only news because he's gay... no other reason.

That's what they said about Jackie Robinson, after he broke the color barrier in baseball. But it was still very newsworthy, in that it signaled a change in professional sports, just as Michael Sam just signaled another major change. This is newsworthy in many ways.

And drafting him just because he is gay? You have to be kidding. Football is big business, and it is very competitive. If if Rams didn't see some potential in him, they would have passed him over. It's as simple as that. They aren't stupid, you know. You want to think again about what you posted?

Well, next time you're down and out try finding a BITTER ATHEIST'S HOMELESS SHELTER. (and ignore the Christian ones all over America)

I'll answer that. Yes, it is not sinful.

You're badly mistaken.

Leviticus 18:22 - "Do not lie with a man as one lies with a woman; that is detestable."

Leviticus 20:13 - "If a man lies with a man as one lies with a woman, both of them have done what is detestable. They must be put to death; their blood will be on their own heads."

Romans 1:26-27 - "Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural relations for unnatural ones. In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed indecent acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their perversion."

1 Corinthians 6:9-10 - "Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God."

1 Timothy 1:8-10 - “But we know that the law is good if one uses it lawfully, knowing this: that the law is not made for a righteous person, but for the lawless and insubordinate, for the ungodly and for sinners, for the unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers, for fornicators, for sodomites, for kidnappers, for liars, for perjurers, and if there is any other thing that is contrary to sound doctrine…”

Jude 7 – “In a similar way, Sodom and Gomorrah and the surrounding towns gave themselves up to sexual immorality and perversion. They serve as an example of those who suffer the punishment of eternal fire.”

There's no gay marriages in the Old Testament; No gay marriages in the New Testament; no gay sex approved anywhere in the Bible. Just the opposite - gay sex is condemned in both testaments. God is consistent on that.

And to close:

“Whosoever shall be guilty of Rape, Polygamy, or Sodomy with man or woman shall be punished, if a man, by castration, if a woman, by cutting thro' the cartilage of her nose a hole of one half inch diameter at the least.” - Thomas Jefferson
