FBI investigating Bundy supporters in BLM dispute[W:338]

You were asking a question, not making a point. Please don't mistake me for someone who has been following this thread. All I saw was your question. All I did was answer it. There is no "secondary" point because there is no "primary" point. There is only your question, and my answer, within the scope of my awareness on this thread thus far.

You didn't see a point in what you just responded to? Really Jerry? Ok....Carry on.

No point was attempted, only a question asked. You had a void of knowledge, and I did my best to fill it. Was he a member of a militia: no, he wasn't. You're welcome.

If you have a point you would like to make you are welcome to state it, and supporting links are always appreciated.

I already said thanks for telling me about the non militia member poser for the pic. I don't understand where the attitude is coming from...If you didn't see my point, then all you have to do is read the post that you responded to...It is right there.

It was right here when I said:

"I find it funny that although there were supposedly lots of people with guns at that standoff, the only pic was of this guy from several angles. Then as soon as the ONE pic is displayed, all the usual people come in talking that 'militia this, militia that' BS, and we don't even know who this guy is. And even when it is pointed out, as you did for me, that this guy was interviewed and says himself that he is NOT part of a militia, they just ignore that and keep going with the lie. "

So, yeah...No need to get all rude and defensive.

You're being a jerk, so yeah, my attitude is warranted.

There's you're attitude. You acting like a dick to me when I don't see what you meant to say. "Carry on"? You don't out rank me so **** your arrogance. I've been deployed, I've been shot at, I've seen soldiers die. I've been in some **** I've seen the true face of "airborne" and they are NOT the outfit they would like people to think they are. You've never seen a combat jump, and so therefore you are not truly "airborne". Truth be told an "airborne" tab is a mark of disgrace, a service no longer used, no longer applicable to modern war, a tab only marking it's wearer as an arrogant piece of **** more likely to piss themselves than function when real lead is sent down range. Like most "airborne" you were just a fobet piece of ****. Maybe you scored a convoy or 2 but there have been no infantry combat jumps since WW2 so **** your "airborne" tab and **** your "carry on" and **** your "Jerry" and **** your post.

There are guys sporting "ranger" tabs in that illegal "militia" group, too. At best those mall-ninja 'rangers' are armed protesters, at worse those 'rangers' are insurrectionists barely worthy of a bullet to put them down.

Nope, nothing like that.

Let's see.. parallels include:

Not paying rent (grazing fees) check.
Refusing to leave the rented land check.
Land use was changed by the caretaker check
Tenant stayed on anyway, still not paying check.

And the differences are??? what again?

She broke the law. Isnt that your beef with these protestors?

Ummm I said she broke the law as it stood. I said she was arrested.

But she didn't threaten violence and she didn't carry a firearm.

Not sure what, if anything you are trying to say....

There are white SUVs suspended on the other side of the barrier?

More CON dodge... here is a term you might want to investigate... "assistance from a distance".

Modern firearms have the capability of inflicting death and destruction beyond arm's length, you maybe confusing a firearm with a knife....

Oh...so, if there hadn't been any bearing of firearms, you wouldn't have any problem with the protest?

Where are the pictures of the people and/or cars suspended on the other side of the barrier? I'm sure you have plenty of them, yes?

Or threats of violence, goading of the LE... then again Rosa didn't travel across the country to try and provoke an incident... If the protesters had staged their protest and then moved out of the way when LE asked them to I be peachy keen with it.

Rosa didn't resist the cops when they arrived, but she made her point.

He's actually more like the tenant who refuses to pay rent, then continues to live in an apartment after the building is condemned.

Bbbbbut he pays his bills.

e.g., you own a house

an assessor comes and looks your dive over

in the tax year, you receive a tax bill or invoice based on what the county assessor wrote down as your assessed value

you

A. pay the tax bill
or
B. you ignore it
or
C. visit the county seat and ask that your property be re-assessed because you believe the assessment to too high

So we're going to start arresting everyone who doesn't pay taxes, fines or rent? Cool. Someone let me know when Charlie Rangel is arrested.

So Jerry is not your screen name? As for me "being a jerk", I think you read too much into words on a political message board...

See, having served in the military I am well aware of the difference between my service, and those like you that have gone into combat, and I thank my lucky stars that I was lucky enough to serve in a time of relative peace, and I do appreciate those like you that went into danger. I don't say that like others that use it as a throw away to open a sentence, or make themselves feel better, but as someone who served in the military as well and if not in combat knows, and was trained just the same. So your denigration of my service is disappointing....The rage you display, and the vitriol you spew toward me when it is likely we agree about more than disagree is sad, and displays a general disrespect for anyone you feel is the slightest refusing to kiss your ass like some kind of bully.

Whether or not you hold contempt or disdain for those who didn't wear your patch, or see your reality is really of no concern when there is freedom of association, and freedom to assemble. You of ALL people should realize that. But I get it, your just mad at the world....

You know, when I went in, I did it because I lived in Lansing MI, in a time coming out of the great Jimmah Carter depression, and didn't know a single person to get a good job so, with little prospects, and young, and all, I joined up and got out of that place...As a broke young guy, I got to be trained, see places, and most importantly, learn that there was something out there bigger than myself...A good lesson that many too often don't learn....Have you learned that Jerry?

Look, You don't know me, you only think you do. So, you shouldn't read into written words on some board as more than they are...And save the meltdowns for something that matters.

Peace brother.

Ditto, Bundy is but a symptom of the greater issue....Consider this man in Texas....

Cases just like the Bundy’s can be seen all throughout the country. At the Henderson Ranch near the border between Texas and Oklahoma, the BLM took 140 acres of legitimately homesteaded property from the Henderson family. Additionally, the BLM seeks to use his case as precedent to seize land along a 116-mile stretch of the Red River, which separates Texas from Oklahoma.

“They’re wanting to take the boundaries that the courts placed here and extend those east and west to the forks of the river north of Vernon and east to the 98th Meridian which is about 20 miles east of us,” Tommy Henderson told RFDTV.

“How can BLM come in and say, “Hey, this isn’t yours.” Even though it’s patented from the state, you’ve always paid taxes on it. Our family has paid taxes for over 100 years on this place. We’ve got a deed to it. But yet they walked in and said it wasn’t ours,” he added.

If the BLM gets their way, the government could seize 90,000 acres of property that is currently in use along the Red River.

“Originally, here the river was out there where it is now and it eroded and accreted up to here, and then it eroded and accreted back. Well, their interpretation is that it eroded up to here but avulsed back. So when you listen to them it is always erosion to the south because the property line follows it then, but it’s always avulsion when it goes north. So the boundary can move south but it can never move back north,” Henderson said.

Scott Carpenter, one of Henderson’s neighbors is in a similar position, and wants to help in the fight against the BLM. His land is also under threat from the constant changing of borders along the river.

“We have numerous places that have been in our family for over a hundred of years, and you hate to see land that people’s worked hard for would lose. As producers we are always on a defense. We have to make decisions to try to help ourselves to help one another” Carpenter said.

BLM threatens Henderson Ranch in Texas for massive land grab | Intellihub News

At issue are thousands of acres of land on the Texas side of the Red River, along the border between Texas and Oklahoma. Officials recently have raised concern that the BLM might be looking at claiming 90,000 acres of land as part of the public domain.

The agency, though, argues that any land in question was long ago determined to be public property.

“The BLM is categorically not expanding Federal holdings along the Red River,” a BLM spokeswoman said in a written statement late Tuesday afternoon.

The spokeswoman referred to a 140-acre plot “determined to be public land in 1986” – an apparent reference to a 1986 federal court case. Breitbart.com, which reported Monday on the Texas land dispute, reported that a Texas landowner lost 140 acres to BLM in that case, and the agency is now using that decision as precedent to pursue more property.

Tommy Henderson, the rancher involved in that case, told Fox News' Greta Van Susteren on "On the Record" Tuesday that the BLM was "talking about taking another 90,000 acres by using my court case as the precedent to seize the other land...

"They won't talk to us or be straight with us as to what their plans are," Henderson said. "...So I have continued to pay for this land or the federal government would seize everything else I had."

According to background materials put out by Texas Republican Rep. Mac Thornberry’s office, the BLM is revisiting its management plan for lands including those along a 116-mile stretch of the Red River. His office said the possibility has been discussed of opening that land up for “hunting, recreation and management."

Gene Hall of the Texas Farm Bureau told Van Susteren, "we have seen an aggressive overreach by the federal government and in more than one instance, if you have got an agency like this that's very well funded with a lot of people involved, then you shouldn't be surprised if they are going to overreach and extend that aggressive approach."

Abbott, in his letter to the agency, said “it is not at all clear what legal basis supports the BLM’s claim of federal ownership over private property.” He said private landowners have cultivated the property “for generations.”

The debate comes on the heels of a tense standoff earlier this month in Nevada, after BLM tried to round up cattle owned by rancher Cliven Bundy – the product of a long-running dispute over unpaid grazing fees. Hundreds of states’ rights supporters, some of them armed, showed up to protest, and BLM back off citing safety concerns.

In the Texas matter, the Supreme Court incorporated the Red River as part of the border with Oklahoma nearly a century ago.

Congress further clarified the boundaries of the two states in 2000.

It’s unclear how seriously BLM might be looking at laying claim to additional boundary land.

BLM said it is merely in the “initial stages of developing options for management of public lands,” as part of a “transparent process with several opportunities for public input.”

So sleep tight tonight Ditto, because according to your line of thinking you are just fine with land you own being taken out from under you at the drop of a hat....Ain't that great.???

congressman who sat on the [ house ways and means committee] ,who writes our federal tax laws, cheats on his taxes and does not go to jail, just loses his seat on the committee and slapped on the wrist and told to pay them.

And what are your credentials to make this claim?

I see this as a totally staged event....I don't think he is pointing at anything....
That's not what he said. His name is Eric and he drove there from Montana to show force.
Lets play a pretend game ...lets pretend that you are not as stupid as you make out that you are.:lamo

Oh snap! Bet you think that was clever? I asked him what his creds are to make the claim he is making...Just what are you misreading to post this dyslexic bull ****?

Well at least something was done and a group of angry supporters didn't bar the way into Congress with weapons trying to keep the Congressman's seat.... :doh

And as long as you play the CON game... Bundy wasn't facing jail but removal of his cattle from land he DIDN'T own and had no RIGHT to use... why are CONs constantly twisting this around????

NOW, after open defiance of a series of court orders coming to an armed confrontation there maybe jail time... so let's try and keep facts to the front, not a human shield or women...
