NSC Spokesman On Benghazi: Dude, That Was Two Years Ago - Business Insider

Former White House National Security Council spokesman Tommy Vietor went on Fox News on Thursday, and after host Brett Baier grilled him over the issue of the talking points used after the attack, he finally responded with, "Dude, this was like two years ago."

Throughout the exchange, Vietor — who seemed annoyed at the line of questioning — wasn't really able to answer Baier on various questions, telling him he "believes so" or that he didn't remember.

"You don't remember?" Baier asked, to which Vietor responded, "Dude, this was like two years ago. We're still talking about the most mundane process ... we're talking about the process of editing talking points. That's what bureaucrats do all day long."

The brazen arrogance is familiar isn't it? It's what we've come to expect of an elitist, egotistical, maniacal administration.

No, American. The blatant arrogance belongs to those who have been passionately screaming "Benghazi" for political points the last few years, yet don't give one flying **** about those who died.

What a disgusting comment. It was a liberal that when asked about their deaths said "what difference does it make".

Who had anything to gain by this coverup?? It sure as he'll wasn't a Republican. Here's a hint.... Their initials are BO and HC.

Which is precisely why the Obama administration spared nothing to go to Libya and capture and kill the attackers, and successfully did so shortly after the attack.

Only a lib would think that being upset about needless American deaths is political. I think it is you being political here and your callousness about people being left to die is sickening.

Obama couldn't even be bothered to walk downstairs to the situation room at the WH while bullets were still flying. Hillary couldn't be bothered for months to sign off on increased security at a consulate in a war zone.

They should both be offered the Ambassadorship to Libya in 2017.

They should be ordered to Libya in 2014.

I don't understand why someone would say that. Our security was a complete and utter failure...our intelligence a complete and utter failure...and we didn't even attempt to send help to honor those who were fighting for their lives.

How is investigating that abject failure trying to score political points??

The brazen arrogance is familiar isn't it? It's what we've come to expect of an elitist, egotistical, maniacal administration.

Representative Peter King, chairman of the House homeland security committee, emerged just after 9am to say the hearing before his committee was over. He said there were discrepancies between what Petraeus had previously told the committee about the Benghazi attack and what he said on Friday.

King said that earlier, Petraeus had said it was principally a reaction to an anti-Muslim video produced in the US; on Friday he said it was an attack by extremists.

Five days after the attack, the administration sent UN ambassador Susan Rice on the Sunday news shows to describe it as a spontaneous protest. Rice relied on initial intelligence that proved incorrect, and she is now under attack by some Republican senators who vow to block her if she's nominated as secretary of state when Hillary Clinton steps down.

Exactly right.
And make sure they're the first to accuse the other guy of what they themselves are doing.
You see it time and again.

And the guilt drips from them like a festering ooze. Odd that they think nobody can see it.

The degree to which a person will acknowledge they see it, is how you can tell the regular fanboys from the diehard fanboys from the complicit fanboys.
For example, these are a complicit fanboys.

Did you not wish you could reach into the screen and smack that snotty little Tommy bastard?

Good morning, bubba. :2wave:

:agree: What's more, since they are trying very hard to make Benghazi sound like "old" news, and not worthy of further discussion, why is it that they can constantly bring up things that Bush did or said five or more years ago...talk about "old" news....! The reason Benghazi is still news is because too many explanations have been given that contradict each other, so we still don't know all the truth about what really happened and why - and no finality can be reached to put this terrible incident to rest. The thug rapist/killers of the Ambassador and three other Americans are still running around free, and until justice is done this will continue to be in the news, like it or not!

And we have post #10 which has already been proven false so many times it's embarrassing to see it repeated again. We are encouraged to believe that two CIA operatives left their posts to assist in the witnessing of a spontaneous demonstration of heavy mortar proficiency.

Here is a much longer version of the video:

Bret Baier is an a-hole IMO.

"We are going to bring those who killed our fellow Americans to justice,"
"No act of terror will go unpunished,"

Pete's in one of his bitchy moods today.

In keeping with the statement, the administration is after the Tea Party.

...."until I can decide how best for me politically this should be handled..."

I wonder what the families of the slain have been thinking for years - and now having to hear that this is "old news, dude!" How terribly sad...

"Dude" like 4 people died dude, but I can't remember exactly what I did or said "dude".

Dude, like the Obama administration politicized the attack on the Benghazzi compound dude by lying about a video.

Dont you care Dude ?

Let me guess, Only the GOP can politicize something.

Yeah whatever, you keep believing that stuff. It's old and debunked. No one believes that Hillary knew nothing.
