University of Washington researchers have successfully regenerated heart muscle in damaged monkey hearts, where grafts of programmed human stem cells assembled themselves into muscle fibers, found the beat, and were nurtured by the monkey’s arteries and veins.

I love seeing this. I have a terminal genetic disease in my family. Three of my siblings have Huntington's Chorea. I got lucky. I can't get it or pass it to my daughters. But it killed my father and will eventually take 3 of my 5 my sibs. These types of developments are hope for the future on many fronts. Albeit too late for my siblings, hopefully not for their kids.
