The first one you ran a poll and more people agreed with me than you. If somebody watched the video, but didn't stick around to hear Beck's comments, they would no doubt believe Beck reported it as fact, would they not? You might have a point if he said those things before he showed the video.
The second one MM issued an update which I told you about.
I don't know what they are getting at with the third one.

But putting those aside, your comment that they deceive their readers by three stories they might have gotten wrong after the thousands they have published is wrong headed. The same could also be said of Fox News, could it not? They are not perfect just like any organization. If they are liars, you should be able to go to their current web page and point out their lies.

Saying it was reported as a fact means that they said "The woman absolutely murdered her husband". How can that headline possibly be true when 2 of the 3 Media Matters cited stated clearly that they had not confirmed whether her claim of killing her husband was true, and the other stated that the woman "claimed" to have killed her husband?

The answer is "It can't be... the headline is false".

There is nothing wrong with the headline, you're interpreting it wrong. You are focused on the murder, when Media Matters is actually speaking about the fake story. Which if Fox checked with ACORN they would have found it was indeed made up by the woman. Three cheers for the good guys at Media Matters. :thumbs:

A: Yes

Did Fox News report that the fake story, a woman confesses to murdering her husband, was factual and she did in fact murder her husband?
A: No

Did Fox News check with ACORN to see if her story had any veracity?
A:A resounding no, if they had, they would have learned the truth. (look, I have no doubt if the News side of Fox was covering this story, they would have done the correct thing and touched bases with ACORN to see the validity of the story)

Well, I guess we'll have to agree to disagree because I see it makes perfect sense. Media Matters supplied all those quotes to show why its makes sense. Fox didn't report it false, which the story was, they gave veracity to it. And of course they could have gone to ACORN to find the truth. But, they were not interest in the truth, because they were interested in smearing ACORN. You know that's true, don't you?

They wanted to cut their government funding they also register low income people to vote. It would come down to what they were accused of doing whether I would defend them or not/

Everyone should be encouraged to vote in my opinion. I never was a member of ACORN so I can't answer your question, but I would imagine there are rules that must be followed.

What Pete won't admit is, ACORN acted as an extention of the DNC and was involved in more voter registration fraud than you can shake a stick at.

Mornin' JMac. I tried to talk to a few about getting a thread up on such.....where all could freely get involved and bring what they got to the table. Just on that issue of the Video and Benghazi. Freely discuss such and not worry about any boundries. No takers.....you know how it is. :lol:

Didn't you acknowledge earlier that this Fox story was from their infotainment side of the house, and not their hard news side? So what you're saying is that MM is really not hard news, but designed to specifically take down one media outlet, or right wing infotainment they don't like, and you don't see anything wrong with that? They lie about these stories, and embellish to say the least. They are the Mike Malloy of dreg lib spew.

I get the feeling that it would mean too much exposure on what people do, or don't really know about the issue, and really just come in here armed with whatever talking points they catch on MSNBC, or FNC for that matter....People really don't like to admit that they don't know everything on a particular subject they have revealed an opinion on...

I will readily admit that I don't know it all on any topic, but form my opinions by listening to many different outlets including those that I disagree with and suffer through listening...I am just not a lib/prog so I can't just sell out when it suits me....

Well....that's why I just tell you guys now when they start talking about around here. Give me the call when you want some of the material showing it for what it is. Not what they want or like. As I have been on this from the beginning and was even before the BS went down with Stevens.

Which I mention before....the War on Terror's timeline does give us a bit more detail. As well as all those overseas News Sources. That don't have a dog in the race.

Oh yes, it's always been crooked from the top down but I often enjoy watching leftists squirm to avoid the main point, wondering when their pride will kick in and they'll admit the truth. The results so far have been disappointing.

I find that when they're caught in a 'misrepresentation' they just don't return to the thread, or change the subject. Some of the bolder ones tried to defend the IRS BS so I gave them an A for effort there. And of course an F for presentation.
