Tomboy pressured to leave Christian school [W: 87]

Supporting someone's right to do something is not the same as supporting what they do. I support the free speech rights of fringe groups, even hate groups, but I don't support their message.

If you support allowing free speech, you support free speech but you don't agree with specific messages

And if you support allowing racism, you support racism but you don't agree with specific acts of racism.

Are you referring to your comment that you support abortions in cases of rape?

Interesting attempt at deflection. BTW, Gipper gets on my nerves too, especially when the topic is women. It would not surprise me if he made similar remarks about race. In other words, I have no dog in this fight. It was just that your comment was so directly contrary what's said about other rights (in fact, what you personally have said) I had to question it.

To answer your question, I don't support it but I would use it as a compromise to obtain a better result. Even if you want to accuse me of hypocrisy or whatever, that's fine. It doesn't do anything to explain your own (which is a bummer as I am genuinely curious how you would address that point).

I support the right to abortion, just as I support the right to free speech though I reserve the right to disagree with someone when they exercise that right.

I do not support the mythical "right" to practice racism.

Ah, good point. Thanks.
