Teen to government: Change your typeface, save millions

No, you just felt like being a dick instead of turning on your brain for one ****ing second. How the hell am I sitting here, typing on a computer, in a box with a big "font" selector box right above it, if I think that it's impossible to change font on an already typed text?

If that's the kind of idiocy you expect from the people around you, you need to elevate your status a bit. I apologizing for trying to joke with you. I realize now that you are completely humorless and I won't make the mistake again, sir.

It's the internet. Assuming that a poster is serious, no matter how stupid the post, is not a bad bet.

It might help the wingnuts understand what it means.

You could understand it better also, since it would be written in your native language.

Your "I know you are but what am I?" was well played, Sir.

Thank you sir, I've been waiting for months to spring that on you!

I fell for nothing, I took your post at your word since there was no sarcasm emote or reason to believe otherwise. There was nothing in your post to indicate ANY type of humor whatsoever. Don't quit your day job, you're no comedian. Telling jokes in the shower doesn't make you a stand-up comic. I guess we shouldn't take your posts at your word since you lie obviously.

No, I'm pretty sure if you want something in a new font you have to have someone retype it.

Lmao. I actually thought you were serious and was ready blast the hell out of you for it. Nicely done, nicely done.

Don't know if this is still true, but Garamond was a licensed font whereas Times New Roman is a free public domain font.

Spoken like a right wing radio minion.

I'm neither right wing or a minion. I only speak from experience, of which I have more than I wish to regarding the topic.

Conservatism - Save government money. Unless it's a Liberal's idea, then it's bad.
Sad, but true.

True in the other direction, as well.

I vote that we rewrite the US Code in Wingdings
Oh, you said "IN Windings", not "BY Windings". Ok, got it.

I'm not sure this kid realizes that the government doesn't want to save money. It's counterproductive to the current budgeting process. The more a department spends, the more it gets. Thus, these government departments try their level best to spend as much money as humanely possible so that their budget is bigger the next go round. It's an unfortunate truth. Poor kid doesn't realize the government is too corrupt for common sense solutions like that.
Another sad truth. Baseline budgeting removes all incentive to cut spending by any agency or department, and allows politicians to lie to us regarding spending increases... and the gullible among us fall for it every time.

It is easy to make blanket statements. It demonstrates ignorance. Plenty of government workers pride themselves on saving taxpayers money. I see it plenty in my area.

I said nothing of the individual employees, it's an impossibility to identify the habits of every single federal employee. I am speaking of the departments as a whole, and the fatal baseline budgeting process used. This isn't a tinfoil hat conspiracy, this is a very real problem.

Baseline budgeting is probably one of the most insidious things our federal government uses when talking/figuring money and budgets. And what makes it even worse is, even though it's not a secret, virtually few average people know about it or understand it. Hence, they fall for the outright lies perpetrated by our politicians when they speak of "cuts" in the budget, and so on.

I did, however that is just a start.

In reality the government doesn't give a **** because they have an infinite amount of money to blow. You see - the government doesn't view spending money on unnecessary nonsense as "blowing money" they view it as "creating jobs" - at leas the progressives do. Then of course you have the politics behind the ink in which no-bid contracts are handed out, which are nothing more than political favors...

The truth is in government politics trumps common sense every time.

Total nonsense. There are plenty of great people in government that take their responsibilities to taxpayers seriously and are great stewards of public funds. They don't get publicity like the crooks. Your statement takes none of this into account.

The "government" is made up of individuals.
