Re: Obamacare tops 6 million signups [W:263]

Untrue on both counts

New York, Kentucky: FINALLY, clarity on the "Previously Uninsured" numbers! | ACASignups.net

So is that the total? 1.4M paid?

Re: Obamacare tops 6 million signups [W:263]

Not only that but the fact that they had to lower the success numbers 3 times to get to that point. there is simply no way they can declare success.
according to the healthcare industry there is only 1/4 or so of the people signed up were previously uninsured the bulk of the people signing up previously had insurance.

20% have not paid their first month premium
Its doesnt matter. The O-bots will believe anything. Hell...they wont believe it and it still wont matter. At the end of the day...it just doesnt matter to them.

Re: Obamacare tops 6 million signups [W:263]

The chart says 1.4M. :lamo

Actually, it says more than that.

I realize that some will find it confusing, what with it being numbers and words and such, instead of pictures. But put a little effort into it

I have to agree. all the data is there and shows that obamacare is a failure and all you get is them sticking their head in the sand going uh huh.
i mean when you have to lower your own standards from 8 to 6m to claim success you know that it isn't going well.

we will see if people continue to pay. they have 6m signups with only 80% paying the first month.

Given the Administration claims 6 million and only 1.4 million paid... it's precious how you seriously want that other 33 thousand and some odd extra. Precious.

Given the Administration claims 6 million and only 1.4 million paid... i.

Those are stats from only 13 states out 50 states but you knew that.

Which is why I asked if that was the total and was told to read the chart.

So how many paid in total?

Did you consider the possibility of reading the Title of the chart?

Surprisingly, the title often gives a clue as to what the content is about

Insurance experts estimate that between 80 and 85 percent of people who have signed up have paid.

The other 15 to 20 percent still have time before their premium is due.

They should have a final count around the middle of April.

right paid their 1st month that doesn't ensure that they will continue to pay.
the problem being that most of the people that are paying previously had insurance.

it is the number of uninsured that matter.

If it is true that the person has 1 or 2 months to pay, the people that are rushing to sign up before the 31st will all be out of that 85% number.

As far as the 85% number goes, what is the cutoff date for when they signed up?

The actual count or another estimate? 80% is 4.8M of the 6M claimed so far. Surely a website can figure out how many people have paid - it's that they don't want to release that information as it would damage Obamacare even more, and hurt Democrats running for re-election.

The question that was asked was how many paid. The answer is 85%

the problem being that most of the people that are paying previously had insurance.

That is a lie
New York, Kentucky: FINALLY, clarity on the "Previously Uninsured" numbers! | ACASignups.net
Until now, the only hard numbers available were from New York and Kentucky, which were reporting 70% and 75% of all enrollees as not already having insurance respectively. However, these numbers included both exchange QHPs and Medicaid enrollees, which made it difficult to parse what percent of QHP enrollees only didn't have insurance prior to their enrollment.

This article is more specific: The number for NY QHPs is 59% of QHP enrollees (vs. 90% of Medicaid), and in KY is, surprisingly higher, at 75% for each!

it is the number of uninsured that matter.
The uninsured rate is going down

Do you have a link that most of the people who are paying for the ACA previously had insurance?

no there are 2 different defintions that are used in insurance.

signup just means that you filled out the paperwork and submitted it.

enrolled actually means that you paid your first months premium and the coverage is valid for at least 1 month.

We're talking about the exchanges, not insurance companies

Signed up means they completed an application

Enrolled means they've chosen an insurance plan to purchase

Paid means paid.

Gee, you seemed to believe them when you repeatedly said only 1.4 million had paid

Funny how you change your opinion when it's convenient for you to do so

What is exactly wrong with you people, these numbers are terrible and we needed to destroy the medical system in this country to get 6 million people insured? What was the purpose of ACA according to Obama when he signed it? What is it about Obama that generates this kind of loyalty and support when the incompetence it evident? Guess actual results don't really matter to you and the question is why?
