New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie’s review of “Bridgegate” has found that he was not involved or aware of the controversial George Washington Bridge lane closures in September that have plagued his administration, according to a report.
Citing those with “firsthand knowledge of the inquiry,” The New York Times reported that while the investigation cleared Christie, it it not know whether the review established if the governor “created or condoned a culture that fostered political intimidation.”

The paper reported that the probe was commissioned by Christie, who selected a legal team from the firm of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher. The story notes the firm “has close ties” to the Christie administration.
The lawyer leading the review, Randy M. Mastro, dismissed any speculation of sugarcoating and said the review will lay out a timeline of events as well as communications leading up to the closures.
Christie’s review, announced in January, included 70 interviews — among them, Christie, his lieutenant governor and senior staff— and cost nearly $1 million in legal fees that will fall upon taxpayers. The review did not include interviews with key former staffers Bridget Anne Kelly or Bill Stepien, whose emails linked the administration to the scandal and ultimately led to their departures from the governor’s administration. Along with Kelly and Stepien, David Wildstein, an ex-Port Authority official appointed by Christie, also declined to be interviewed.

Surely just one important step showing the Gov didn't lie (unlike our many other prominent Washington politicians who have). The Christie haters will continue to hate, the Christie supporters will be rewarded for their steadfast support. The media will likely not say much since this denies a smoking gun and the demise of a rising star Republican. Whether or not Christie runs in 2016 probably hasn't changed - from a political standpoint the damage was done; mission accomplished.

Watch out, the double standard crew is meeting now to formulate how they dismiss this.

No, no.

He's guilty. You see it works this way: when there's a question of any impropriety on the part of Obama, it's racist harassment, of no importance or he found out about on TV. [He maybe should spend more time on the nation's business and less on the golf course and watching Oprah.]

When it's a Republican, it's a massive cover up , the result of the wealthy 1% conspiring to make poor people more poor.

You maybe need to brush up on the latest advancements in propagandizing.

Hey, that's great news, too bad the Republican's will never nominate him, in my opinion the Republicans will nominate a Tea Party type. ie. Cruz. Christie would be tough to beat.

2016 and 2020 are a long way off. Christie is still young and in politics anything can (and usually does) happen. As much as those 50+ year old "radical extremists" called the Tea Party may like hard line fiscal conservatives, Christie actually would play to best to the independents. I think 2016 may not be the year and politically, the media hit job done on Christie will need some time. He may run in 2020.

So an investigation organized by Christie, and carried out by a firm with close ties to Christie, concluded that Christie wasn't involved?

Shocking!!

The leftist media will still attack him personally under the guise of whether Christie “created or condoned a culture that fostered political intimidation.” This is just the sort of speculation they will feed on over the next couple of years to attack any political candidate who threatens their Democrat favorite.

There you go!

Despite the media and the Feds trying to dig up any dirt on Christie they can, and finding nothing, we'll still be hearing more of this sort of thing from now until the election. When things don't go the leftist way they'll opt for the conspiracy theories.

Yeah, there's nothing going on there. That's why people are asking for immunity before they testify

So you're saying the Fed DoJ is covering up for Christie?

Strangely, Obama's investigation of Benghazi showed he did nothing wrong. But you don't believe that one.

You don't want to talk about the report.....that is fully expected :lamo

Translation: You got nothing, refuse to answer the question. Facts win again!!

See here is you guys hypocrisy

You accept Christie's report as is.... no questions ask moving forward.......

BUT..... A report that says that The Obama Administration had no knowledge of what is going on, then it is all of a sudden a conspiracy going on. They can't be trusted.

So I ask you guys this. Why is your double standard > The left double standard?

Kind of like Lois Lerner pleading the 5th?

You seem satisfied with the outcome of the IRS investigating itself.... and the ATF.... and the State Department.... and....

No, that's completely different

Unlike the Christie "investigation", the right doesn't believe the IRS when it investigates itself.

Lois Lerner pleaded the 5th to the outside House investigation, the IRS found everything was A-OK and not a smidgeon of corruption.

I want to point out something and tell me if I'm wrong.

Obama Investigations- Led by Congress and primarily Republicans. Not only have Republicans in the house proven to be a critic of the President they've shown they will do anything and follow any lead possible to bring down the President. The conclusions of those "scandals" haven't been anything close to what was promised by Issa and other House Republicans.

Christie Investigation- The state and Federal investigations are still collecting evidence. He was "exonerated" by a law firm that has close ties to Christie and in fact some of the investigators have personal ties to Christie.

I'll personally wait until the official investigations end.
