US Furious with Israeli Defense Minister Comments.....

Kerry isn't part of the Right, so why do you expect him to behave as a rightie?

Well the only part you got Right. Is which way he doesn't lean. But at the bare minimum. I would at least expect him to behave like a Man and not get so emotional when someone overseas mocks him.

Ya know he could have came back with his own Smacktalk, Right Summer.....you know, that First thought that comes to mind with those on the left. That which they do so well.....bring the Affront.

You're the one who capitalize "right" so I thought I'd play with that. It's what I do.

In seriousness, I can see a point to having a discussion with Netenhooha to see if his opinions were the same as their SoS, I can see Netenhooha calling it complaining because like the rightwingers here, he likes to hype and be a drama queen. I'm not at all worried that Kerry upset those morons, I actually respect him more. Seems to me much more diplomatic to carry on these types of issues calmly by phone as opposed to the hysterics their SoS published in public, now that's unprofessional.

Thiers wasn't a SOS.....he was just a Defense Minister, one of several. But you think it is alright for Kerry to just pick up the Phone to call the Leader of another country to Bitch about something one of his ministers said? That's not being a Drama Queen? Or placing more Authority onto ones own back than that one has. To take it on themselves to Call a leader of another Country.

I figure that's why Kerry has an underling who can make the call to another underling to get sentiments passed along. Which would be the proper way to handle it.....rather than Assume He has more Authority than that hat he wears..... or carries!

I think Kerry got upset that he was called Obsessive and Messianic.....Do you think it was Kerry's Botox?

Wasn't he suppose to be focused on like oh.....Russia and the Ukraine?

*Kerry's thoughts* "that little Russia/Ukraine problem will be handled sometime, somehow, by somebody. Why, we're sanctioning people right and left over there...you want more? I wonder if I'm going to be sorry that I ever told the Ukraine we would give them a billion dollar loan - they're so ungrateful, they're even proceeding with their plans to hold a new election like it doesn't matter what we think about them running their country as they see fit! In the meantime, Israel is calling me names, and I just can't have that...it's so unfair...."

Heya Lady P.

Here is what this guy said.

In remarks quoted in Israeli reports on Tuesday, Yaalon said Israel cannot depend on the United States to lead any action against Iran's nuclear program and can only rely on itself.

"We thought that the one who needs to lead the campaign against Iran is the U.S.," Yaalon was quoted by the daily Haaretz as saying during a lecture at Tel Aviv University on Monday......snip~

Now, here is what ticked Kerry off.....

He also disparaged American influence and power, noting the ongoing crisis over Ukraine and Russia's annexation of Crimea.....snip~

You can hardly blame them. First of all, they're right. And second of all, their security is largely dependent on an anti-Semite POTUS. We've seen what happens when you have to depend on Obama, ala Benghazi.

The second post in an Israel thread and the anti-Semite card has been played. When I saw this thread, I was wondering how long did it take for it to be thrown. There's the answer.

Anti-semite POTUS surrounded by self hating jews from Chicago... I'm guessing? But hey... here's how anti-semitic he is.

He hates them so much.. he's put them to work in some of the most sensitive positions of his government.... sounds like something an anti-semite would do. What is weird about such portrayals of Obama as an anti-semite is that when he was running for president, people were complaining about his tight-knit relationship with prominent Jews in his local government. Now he hates them? Lol.

All this proves is that the US isn't Israels puppet.

I don't know. Puppets have feelings too!!! :lamo

Seriously tho, sometimes it does appear that way due to the powerful influence of the lobby.

Don't be a right wing caricature Anthony.

Yeah like that means much of anything.....now lets see how good you are at guessing about That SOS Kerry and his Authority to call another leader of a Country over the phone directly. For something that's Non Emergency?

Hows your guessing game on that one?

Yeah like that means much of anything

Wait, your argument is that Obama is an anti-semite even though he's put many prominent jews to work in sensitive parts of his government? I'm not acquainted with right wing newspeak. Is up, down and down, up too? Or are we still living in the Glenn Beck days where he hates white people?

now lets see how good you are at guessing about That SOS Kerry and his Authority to call another leader of a Country over the phone directly. For something that's Non Emergency?

Hows your guessing game on that one?

Guessing what? He can call him because he has his number. I'm not sure what you're complaining about. That we demand explanations from a country we have basically funded into existence? Or that our leaders have the phone numbers of their foreign counterparts?

The claim is that he bitched. I question that characterization since I know that Netenhooha is a drama queen. And yes, I respect that he tried to handle things quietly and diplomatically instead of the way their Defense Minister or Netenhooha handled it.

Our SoS SHOULD be a more powerful person in the world than Israel's PM, imo. I'm glad he stepped up.

No, but it wasn't hard to not notice none of my posts saying anything like you are repeating. Were you still having trouble with your guessing game about Kerry. Which actually the article is more about Kerry than Your Obama Defense Shield.

Or were you looking to still go tangential with that one.

No, but it wasn't hard to not notice none of my posts saying anything like you are repeating.

This is why reading comprehension is your friend. Anthony stated Obama is an antisemite. That quote is nonsense with a simple look at his history with Jews. What are you complaining about?

Tangential doesn't mean what you think it means. Guessing game about what? He called him because he can. Israel as it exists today is the creation of the West. If Kerry has the phone number of his counterpart, he can call them. Don't like it? I suggest you start going into politics and if you manage to take Kerry's place, you become a yes man to everyone of Israel's childish tantrums.

What job bills are those? Seems the only thing the House has done was try to repeal ACA and otherwise just the bare minimum. Oh, wait a minute, I recall a couple of bills, maybe job bills that were loaded with unrelated garbage like repealing ACA and redefining limits on abortion or something like that. Anyway, please, which bills are you speaking about. I'd like to read about them.

There have been many bills sent to the Senate that would create jobs if enacted. Here are some....H.R 910; H.R. 2018; H.R. 1229; H.R. 1230; H.R. 2021. They are too voluminous for me to type them out, but a quick Google search explains what they are, and none of these have anything to do with Obamacare. I agree that bills were sent that repealed the ACA and other various and sundry items, but they apparently were urged by their constituents to include them, so those were also sent.

Greetings, Summerwind. :2wave:

Say what......A Secretary of the State should be more Powerful person than the Ruling Leader of another country? I wonder why Kerrys Underling then agreed with Netanyahu. Do you know why?

Psaki repeated Obama and Kerry's oft-stated position that the U.S. commitment to Israel's security is "unshakable," outlined several main elements of the longstanding U.S.-Israeli defense relationship. And she noted that Netanyahu himself has spoken of an "unprecedented level" of security cooperation between the countries.

One can see how that would cause Kerry to lose his cool while dealing with Russia and the Ukraine......to call up the leader of a another country. Over something one of his people said.

Common Sense....huh?

Thank you, I will take a look. I have complete confidence there's some sort of finagling within the bills or Reid would've brought them to a vote. However to not further derail this thread I shall not further comment about this within it.

Nazis, Arabs and other antisemetic morons are always claiming that there is alot of Israeli influence over US politics. But I am starting to belive that it is the other way arround. There is to much US right wing-religious fanatic influence over Israeli politics. It seems like the Israeli right wing has no interest whatsoever in negotiating anything with a democratic whitehouse or senate, but prefer waiting for a republican with second coming fantasies.

Israel's influence over the USofA has more to do with keeping the American politicians' feet to the fire when it comes to supporting Israel. Every new President has to re-affirm our undying bond with Israel. Israel and Egypt get the largest hangout of aid from the USofA.

There is a perverse bond between American Evangelicals and Israel Right wing nuts....

There is also a very strong need by the current Israeli administration to have the focus on them and not other hot spots.

Israel's government is becoming a burden rather than ally, I wouldn't mind seeing the bond become more of a distance cousin but I don't see that being allowed anytime soon.

Right, that why reading is fundamental. There is that part about putting 2 and 2 togerther, and Considering it has nothing to do with the piece in the first place. That leaves you and all this uhm....whatever opinion of yours pretty much talking about nothing that has to do with what the piece is about.

Piece ain't about the other member either.

I got it Sumnmer.....I'll disagree and leave it there and I wont bother with that bit about A Secretary being more Powerful than a Leader of a Country. ;)

Yes, and here is the second post in your thread:

Which you didn't seem to have a problem with until somebody called it bull****. Is there a reason for that?

Yeah I saw all go Right past it.....since it really didn't apply. Notice how the conversation panned out. Until you jumped. Now what.....were suppose to talk about that BS for 3 or 4 pages. Talk about that which doesn't apply or mean much at this point. For what?

To complain about what some Minister said.....Cmon Moot? This was no Emergency situation. Like I stated Kerry has an Undersecretary that can call and deal with this thru any backchannel they choose.

There was no reason to make a scene over it.....and bring any other attention down on this Administration. Kerry should be focused on Russia.
