Susanne Atanus, Who Blames Gay Rights For Tornadoes, Wins GOP Nomination For Congress

Susanne Atanus, of Niles, Ill., garnered 54 percent of the vote in her Tuesday win over David Earl Williams III.

"I am not in favor of abortions, I am not in favor of gay rights," Atanus told the Daily Herald, a suburban Chicago newspaper, in January.


She blamed natural disasters and mental disorders on recent advances in LGBT equality and legal abortions.

Whether left wing or right wing, I don't understand people who hold such extremist views on what their god does or doesn't do and what he gets angry about and what pleases him.

Right wing conservative businessman fires 1000 workers and moves his company to China? Nothing to do with"God" and everything to do with politics. This is even though the Chinese are supposedly godless left wing heathens who enslave millions. That doesn't make "God" angry at all, as a matter of fact it has nothing to do with "God" and everything to do with evil left wingers raising taxes.

However, you tell people that a society would be better off if all members were afforded the same rights and privileges and it's the worst kind of insult to"God". Now, I am an atheist and I don't pretend to understand religious consistency, however, there seems to be a problem of inconsistency with this "God" person.

TL/DR Version:

Leaving thousands without jobs, seeking riches at any human cost and not caring about your fellow man = God doesn't care about that.
Living as legal equals within a society = God hates that.
Christian oppression of gays in Uganda = God likes that.

Where do these people come from. The crazy thing is that until I found this site I had no idea the amount of unbelievably stupid crap people from the party I identified with said. Now I am screwed, the left seems like good meaning retards, and the right is just full on hard core ****ing stupid/crazy. Probably time to just stop keeping up with politics all together, like most people I know.

She did in fact say what is claimed. There are dozens of sources reporting on it, and you can even find the local source that was interviewing her when she said it. Next objection....
