Marriage is about a man and woman, kids, grandkids, cousins, aunts and uncles, church, and the wonderful dynamic that a mother brings to the family versus a father.

I have great friends that I used to room with. We didn't play with each other's genitals, but we love each other like brothers. That's not marriage, my friend. That's called being really good friends.

Nonsense. Marriages not lasting a lifetime is the result of the fact that most people don't have the maturity, discipline, and ability to commit to their families. I'd say that less than 15 percent of the population has that ability, and if you don't get a man and a woman together that are both 15-percenters, it'll fail.

Frankly, most people simply lack character and integrity. It's unfortunate, but true.

What dynamic does a mother bring to a family that a father doesn't? What dynamic does a father bring to a family that a mother doesn't? Seriously, dude....you have extremely out-dated views that are supported more by myths than facts.

Would you rather be rescued from a burning building by the average male firefighter, or the average female? You don't believe in maternal instincts of a woman? You don't recognize the strength and protective comfort provided by a traditional father? You genuinely think men and women are the same?

LOL....if I were being rescued from a burning building, the genitals of the firefighter would be the last thing from my mind. Then again, I put a lot less emphasis on genitals than you obviously do. As for the rest of your post, I don't think that men or women have any innate instincts that are all that different from the other. I think men and women can both be nurturing....then again...you obviously live in a world where the man is the breadwinner that goes off to work everyday...and women should be in the home making it comforable for their man and remain barefoot and pregnant. Sorry....but that just isn't how the world operates any more.

Yet another example of a conservative that cannot answer the question. The reality is....you guys cannot see beyond the sexual organs...and when pressed have no answer to what specifically a male or a female bring to a relationship or a family.

Wild strawman. I said absolutely none of that, but I'll answer the first question for you. You'd rather be lifted up and carried out of that burning building than grabbed by your ankles and dragged so you head hit every step on the way down.

My wife and I both work, but we don't lose the dynamics of the father-mother-husband-wife relationship at home. She doesn't crack my beer for me or knit all of our clothes for us.

Here's the whole problem. Not a single opinion, in the history of this or any other forum, has changed as a result of these "debate" exchanges. Not one. These exercises are a complete waste of all of our time. That's largely why your state wants to divide in to five separate new ones.

So, what are we doing? This is pointlessly stupid.

There is no reason to think it is a fact considering the biological differences that are known. :shrug: As it stands, the study in question goes in direct opposition to everything else known. Either I agree with the study and just ignore everything else, or I go with what makes the most sense. I don't think it makes much sense to ignore 99.9% of known science on the topic because one study comes out.

Contrary to what you lefties say this is far from a done deal. Now even in some schools so called transexuals male are alone to use the girls bathroom. My grandchildren will never attend a school that allows that..Call me a bigot or homophobe whatever you want but that will never happen and you can take that to the bank.

Wow.....now it all makes sense. You value adopted children and adopted families the same way that you devalue gay marriage. THAT is extremely sad and just shows how short-sighted you are. Why don't you talk to an adoptive parent or an adoptive child and find out whether they value their children as much as you do.
