Fears of more protest clashes high in Venezuela

People? Ha. Toppling foreign governments is not secret US business. Venezuela booted us over it. Only if US interests aren't served by it would there not be involvement.

Absolutely nothing you said refuted anything I said, or explained anything you said. Nothing. I'm embarrassed for you. Again: What did I misrepresent, exactly? Be specific. Try to stay focused, here. Like walk me through this, logically, please.

Don't be embarrassed, that's ridiculous anyway. Nothing you have said refutes the fact that the US supports demonstrations aimed at toppling governments they don't like. It's embarrassing that you deny this. This is specifically why we got the boot in Venezuela.

Except...no one denied that or tried to deny that?

But...you think someone did? Again: extremely poor critical thinking skills. Whether you won't or can't keep up, I don't know. But it's one of them.

Yep. It was necessary, or seemed so at the time, to win the war.

I'm sure you believe that too. But in reality it was mostly to serve the interests of multinational corporations.

Oh, sure. And the Boogie Man ate the mouse.

Just one little example during the banana wars (and there's plenty more)

The government of the United States of America had threatened to invade with the U.S. Marine Corps if the Colombian government did not act to protect United Fruit’s interests.

‘Jungle Capitalists – a Story of Globalisation, Greed and Revolution’ is the extraordinary story of the United Fruit company and their dealings in Central America.

Now you are talking international security of citizens' assets. That is quite something different and absolutely legitimate.

No, we're talking about international corporations exploiting workers with in-humane working conditions. A strike that ended in a massacre. I can't believe the way you guys make excuses for this type of ****.

Working conditions around the world were bad then and in many countries still are. But it is better in many of the places to have the lousy job instead of costing more and therefore losing the factory to Greece and Romania or in the case of bananas the Canaries.

No answer Monte? Didn't think so. You're incapable.

Where are Sean Penn, Danny Glover, and Harry Belafonte when you truly need them?

Your making excuses for the exploitation of Latin American workers. But hey, as long as the bananas were on the table and cheap.

How many ways must you be told that when its in US foreign policy interests, which include the interests of US based IC's, the US government will be fomenting unrest, covertly sabotaging governments, using the CIA to overthrow them or supporting protesters attempting it themselves. Only if its not in US interests would they let such movements fall on their face. This is established fact, its not secret, one needn't dig deep and long for the documentation, I don't know why you insist otherwise.

Why, for heaven's sake, should I make excuses for something I think is fine?

How many ways must you be told that that's not what I'm asking you. I'm asking you to explain your incredibly simplistic train of logic. Do I need to repeat myself?

He honestly doesn't understand that people might disagree with him on a very basic level. He just can't fathom it.

Some people are like that.

Are you still defending this armpit of a country? Jeez only an extremist like yourself could try so hard to pass a laughable failure like Venezuela as a success story.

Apparently the US has no media bias in this story?

No! You don't.

Yeah, that's the problem. But things are changing and the power to continue such behaviour is waning. I won't need to be concerned about what you consider fine for long.

Oh noez! Conflict!

It's WW3!

We're all gonna die!

And of course the US refuses to start up sanctions against Maduro's socialists. I wonder why, could it be because... Obama's a socialist too?! ;)
