Fears of more protest clashes high in Venezuela

Did you get the wrong thread?
Sorry. Everyone's running round screaming blue murder about the end of the world. It looked like fun. I wanted to give it a go too.

Yeah, that's the problem. But things are changing and the power to continue such behaviour is waning. I won't need to be concerned about what you consider fine for long.

It will become much more brutal and dangerous over the next 20 years. And believe me, even America's worst enemies will then wish back the mild inconveniences of the cold war back.

lol great. Monte's critical thinking on full display.

Someone says "not all", he thinks it means "none". An Oxford grad, clearly.

I'm still waiting for you to do something at DP other then just defend the slow decay of our country due to government abuse and eroding civil liberties.

I'm waiting for you to use common sense and any semblance of critical thinking. Seriously, I said "not all" and you thought it meant "none". Who can take someone like that seriously?

You don't even know how to think.

I wouldn't be surprised in the least if the US is helping to fund these protest.

That's strange considering the amount of your life you've spent on me.

Strange, your obsession with me.

Who is obsessed with you? You say dumb, incoherent things with no logic backing them up ("not all" = "none" being only the most recent example) and I mock you for them. Seems pretty simple.

Strange, your obsession with me.

:lamo You think OWO is "obsessed" with you? Well, only if a cat that caught a mouse and is now batting said mouse around the kitchen floor for fun, is "obsessed" with said mouse....You are being owned, and it is hilarious....:lamo

Apparently the US has no media bias in this story?

Oh yeah, its just a media bias. Don't pay attention to the 50% inflation levels, government oppression, and murder rates comparable to a warzone. That's just what the media wants you to think. :doh

My point stands. Only an extremist like yourself would try so hard to look at this cesspool of a country as a raging success.

Never said this was not a problem.

government oppression,
If Venezuela is responsible for oppressing people during protests then so is the US.

and murder rates comparable to a warzone.
Murder is also a problem.

Nor did i say that. I said people are not being told the whole picture in the West.

Did i say it was a "raging success". They certainly have made success in some areas of the economy such as poverty, and extreme poverty, healthcare, education, and inequality.

When was the last time the US invaded a business and told them to lower prices? Can't remember? Then how can you compare Venezuela to the US in terms of oppression?

And regardless of whether you said the words "raging success" you still have consistently defended the country even as all of their "progress" has crumbled around them. Chavez had some brief success funding his agenda with an oil windfall and heavy debt. Strip that windfall away and all you are left with is a country with a broken currency and no industry to speak of. The people seem to grow more desperate by the day. When the current regime is thrown from power in the coming months, then will you finally come to understand how disastrous this "new socialism" has been? I'm betting not, because the leftist "intellectuals" that clearly have pawned your brain will twist and turn to come up with every excuse in the book why Venezuela didn't fail because of their own policies.

I just hope for your own sake that you see through their thinly veiled bull****.

Clearly you're jealous you aren't the one kicking his ass.

:lamo there's some ass being kicked all right. And it ain't his...wake up and learn something kiddo.

Kiddo! Sure j, its only because you too are an apologist for US foreign policy in Latin America that you think that.

You're right. I don't support socialism.

That's fine you can support whatever you want. I'm talking about US foreign policy to force other nations to our advantage in the interest of US based IC's. at the expense of Latin American people's. I don't support that, and completely understand why Bolivia, Ecuador and Venezuela feel as they do.

The point is there's no debate to have with you until you refine your cognitive skills. I mean, do you even have a defense for thinking "not all" meant "none"? How can you even have an intelligent conversation with someone who makes such egregious errors?

How can anyone talk to you about real things when you do things like that?

Why'd you quote something and then not respond to it?
