Tennessee Volkswagen plant votes against union in UAW defeat[W:600]

Re: Tennessee Volkswagen plant votes against union in UAW defeat

That's what you call complete desperation. Keep constructing that strawman:lol:

no strawman at all.
in fact to even call it a strawman is a strawman in and of itself.

I didn't nothing to distort the argument. I simply proved that corruption doesn't just go one way. the only difference is don't see those senators beating people up and destroying personal property.

You misrepresented my argument in a very desperate way. People who are voted in to represent us should not be lying, smearing and using fear tactics. That has nothing at all to do with some union in PA. Can it get anymore pathetic?

Re: Tennessee Volkswagen plant votes against union in UAW defeat

The only think i like about the union contract I'm under is it is next to impossible to lay me off. everything else stinks. With my same profession, I made 50% more money under non union jobs because I was paid for individual bargaining, not collective bargaining. In fact, the whole benefits package was better because my previous companies wanted to entice the best. In 1998 and 1999, I made six figures because of individual bargaining. Recently I have come close, but still only gross five figures.

Re: Tennessee Volkswagen plant votes against union in UAW defeat

I'm not crying. I'm merely pointing out that part of the workers' decision was based on the smear/fear campaign of the Repub politicians in TN and how unethical such a tactic is toward the citizens of that state.

No. This is an example of unethical tactics towards citizens... Philadelphia THUG indictment produces claims of union violence - Watchdog Wire - Pennsylvania A group called "Thugs" (the helpful union guys), that commited acts of violence, destroyed property (liberals hate private property) and were corrupt throughout its organizational structure.

The workers in TN are adults and know what they want better than you, SO BUTT OUT.

The desperate are out tonight:lol:

Re: Tennessee Volkswagen plant votes against union in UAW defeat

Thats not a strawman. Your arguments are weak, and can not compete.

A strawman is a misrepresentation of your opponents argument which is exactly what he did then you repeated.

So you think it is ok for union members to assault and destroy personal property simply because the contractor doesn't want to use unionized labour?
You said you wanted to removed corruption from the system. how is what i posted not corruption of the worst kind?

i don't believe you think it is ok for people to assault and destroy personal property so why don't you think we shouldn't remove that type of corruption.

it also isn't unusual for union reps to threaten and bully workers into joining the union. that is the number 1 reason they want to pass card check. so that they can
show up at peoples homes and intimidate them into joining a union even if they don't want to.

workers that don't join a union at a union optional place are ostracized and harassed on a daily basis. they are bullied and even if they join the union they are pretty much passed over for everything.

so when you talk about eliminating corruption then it goes both ways.

I think we are seeing the advent of the true dictator administration during his lame duck time in office...Think about it...They couldn't get 'card check', so now we have useful dupes like rabbit in here lying about what a senators role was in VW turning down the UAW. They don't like what FNC has to say about the administration so now all of the sudden we have a proposal to send in the FCC under the guise of "a study" to intimidate certain news outlets. The progressive tactic lately is steeped in projection rather than honest debate or governance.

Progressives are vermin, and shouldn't be allowed anywhere near the levers of power.

Re: Tennessee Volkswagen plant votes against union in UAW defeat

Wow, now we get even more off topic by bringing in Obama. What next:lol:

Re: Tennessee Volkswagen plant votes against union in UAW defeat

Corker and a few other Repub politicians are but an example so you can't ignore them, especially since they are the topic of the discussion. I don't disagree our American political system is a mess. We can't permit this kind of corruption in our system.

Nowadays the big problem is at the top.

You're defending union violence??? Too busy obsessing about Bob Corker?

Do you support Obama???

Obama distracts attention from the true menace, Corker, is that it?

Re: Tennessee Volkswagen plant votes against union in UAW defeat

Not saying there isn't problems at the top. Just saying Obama has nothing to do with what happened in TN.

Obama has spent the past five years trying to manipulate Federal labor law in order to put his thumb on the scale in favor of unions. He used the most extreme measures trying to pack the NLRB. The election in Tennessee was a huge defeat for his policies. But, honestly, G-d forbid that we should let Corker out of the spotlight.

Re: Tennessee Volkswagen plant votes against union in UAW defeat

The comments in the last few days by Republican Southern politicians basically saying they do NOT want unionized plants in their states is far more preserving the GOP's political control of the state than it is anything else.

Who exactly tried to manipulate that situation?
