Its always good to see love and tolerance fully on display J. And sincerely...I DO hope for your happiness. I hope you are open, free, and very happy.

1.) i agree maybe one day your views will be based on that instad of factual hate and bigotry.
2.) if this is true its only because because im not gay

if i was gay you would want me treated as a lesser and second class citizen. Your views based on hatred and bigotry would deny me equal rights and you would openly and proudly discriminate against me and disrespect me. Its so sad that theres so much vitriol and intolerance in your views.

Your own words prove this fact

I am opposed to gay marriage. I have said numerous times if it were to be voted on tomorrow I would vote against SSM.

instead of the ignorance and hate above I hope one day youll have views that are based on love and tolerance.

Dont take this the wrong way...but you can choose to see it or not. Your opinion of my positions isnt entirely relevant, just as my opinions should not be relevant to yours.

of course that's why I want to see if your opinion can be changed by any of your other opinions you have to appeal to some one in some way if you desire change

Suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuure you didnt. And in 08?

And look how feisty and angry you guys are. But hey...thats 'tolerance' for you...

Sorry you don't like facts. The simple truth is you label anyone that has "left" of any type in their leaning an Obama supporter. You ran your mouth and got called on it. It's a shame you can't man up and just admit you were wrong.

I'm more tolerant than people like you are that's for sure. See, I don't care if you think that SSM is wrong, you are free to it. What I fight against is you legally being able to prevent it. That's the difference. You fight AGAINST people's rights like many social conservatives do.

Feel free to fight the existing law. The existing law legally prevents it.

As for who you voted for...I'll accept you at your word that you didnt vote for Obama...as you said...in 2012. I find it hard to believe...but OK. And what about 2008 (you made the qualification)? And just for fun...who DID you vote for?

And of course...your verbiage is so clearly indicative of that hatred and intolerance we have been talking about. Which is...sad, really.

Yes, I voted for Obama in 2008. At the time I thought he would be better than McCain and the disaster Palin. I stopped supporting Obama right after he rammed the ACA down the throats of the GOP and the bailouts. If you don't believe me, do a search of my posts. The only thing I really defend Obama on is from idiots that keep thinking he is a super secret Muslim hell bent on destroying the U.S. Now, what does ANY of this have to do with now?

YOU support the existing law that prevents SSM, therefore you are FOR having rights not given to SS couples and have even said you will continue to deny them those rights if you have the ability to vote to continue the anti-SSM laws. You are quite intolerant. I'm not voting for your rights to believe SSM is wrong yet you would vote to not allow SS couples to marry and I would bet you would vote to not allow them to adopt or raise kids if you had the choice too.

Oh...not much...other than the fact that you voted for and support a guy who's belief on gay marriage mirrors mine and who still believes homosexuality is 'immoral' and only changed his position re government involvement on gay marriage because he had to. Its funny how people ignore that whole "I hate you you ****ing bigot" thing when it involves a candidate they support.

Yes...I do support the existing law. That is correct. As for the 'intolerant' part...well...lets see...I have on numerous occasions offered love, respect, concern, even compassion. I simply dont believe SSM is right and that the law shouldnt be changed. If you wish to label that as hatred and intolerance...well...then by all means...continue to display your hatred and intolerance.

So are you a ONE issue voter than? Does the candidate have to agree 100% with what you do for you to vote for them?

I wouldnt vote for someone I hated and presented as a bigot. I mean...look at yourself. You literally roil with hatred because I dare to maintain a belief different than yours. You rush to use words like hatred and bigot because I dare to disagree with you. You gleefully proclaim I incorrectly assume you voted for Obama. And then...it turns out you DID in fact vote for pre-'evolved' Obama...that same Obama who supports state rights on deciding SSM, who at the time believed it should be against the law, and who has declared homosexuality immoral.

Seriously...when looking for the source of your hatred towards others...you MIGHT consider your internal conflict.

You'll have to show me where I said you hated homosexuals. I said you didn't have tolerance because you ACTIVELY fight to keep SSM from marrying. You want to dictate YOUR morality and force it on others. I said I don't care if you think SSM is wrong, it is when you legally want to keep it that way you show your intolerance.

I didn't use words to you like bigot, so go cry victim elsewhere. I think YOU are reading too much into my comments and then trying to cry victim when it is your own intolerance.

Lets talk about what that 'actively fighting' thing means to you. If you mean I occasionally respond to the daily barrage of "**** you I hate you you are a bigot **** you **** you **** you!!!" Then...yes...I suppose I 'actively fight' to keep the laws the same. And yes...you like others continue to spew your venom and hatred towards anyone that dares to disagree with you on the subject. Except...well...that guy you voted for.

That's funny considering I've critized Obama and his policies numerous times and I didn't vote for in 2012. Nice try, but you lose again. But please continue with the "victim" card you are trying to play. It's quite amusing to see you cry victim when it is YOU who is so intolerant that you would vote to keep SSM illegal if you could. Sorry, but sell your victimhood elsewhere, noone is buying it.

It IS funny. You voted for the angry hate filled bigot in 2008 but DIDNT vote for the enlightened former bigot in 2012.

Your 'victim' tactic is silly. Do you really think it is effective? :lamo

You're the one crying victim with your "whoa is me, people send me hate filled comments because I would vote against SSM if given the chance". You're no better than those that voted against interracial marriage.

So who did you vote for in 2008 and 2012?

:lamo If you cant tell, the last thing I care about is your opinion. Thats why I am willing to state what a lot of people arent. And throughout the discussion I have been polite, respectful, and expressed love and concern. You on the other hand...others like you...you put your hatred and intolerance on full display for anyone that dares to disagree with you.

So...we ARE clear...while you express loathing and disdain for those like 'me' you voted for someone that expressed mirrored views. And as for who I voted for...I voted in order for Bednarik, Barr, and Johnson (though I think Root would have been a far superior candidate in 2012). Johnson presented as a reasonable alternative candidate in the primaries...then lost his mind in the campaign. Shame.

another post and another posted lie with ZERO facts to support these false claims.
Please provide the facts that support you now thank you

As for me, yes, I believe many in those groups are bigots and I've already commented on that fact and my frustration and confusion that those that have had to deal with the burdens, etc of being treated like second class citizens would be so careless and kindless with their determination to keep others thusly.

I've lost track on how many times the word "bigot" has been used and how many have been called a bigot.

I kind of wonder if some even know what a bigot is ?

Most men of the cloth, priest, pastors, preachers, rabbis, etc. are all bigots by the definition. Most Green Bay Packers fans meet the definition of being bigots.

I suppose most LGBT activist are bigots depending how strong their feelings are about wanting more than the whole nine yards.

Well you must have a lax view of using the term then. Anything I've ever considered it used for in context of discrimination is when that discriminatory "opinion" is forced on others through laws or the through the lack of protection of laws. So do the GBP fans stop others from being fans of other teams, do that refuse them services or entry in to their business or employment, do GBP fans keep Seahawk fans, for example, from being able to see their lovers in the hospital? Or do they limit the tax rules and regs to only GBP fans? Do they require all other fans to jump through costly legal hoops to be considered a legal partnership? Are other fans restricted from adopting children? Are the children of GBP fans likely to beat up or otherwise try to humiliate the children of other fans?

Not the same at all. But for you idiots and ignoramuses of the religious right, I get that you are too simplistic in your thinking and ability to comprehend such that you'd embarrass yourself by suggesting that bigotry is the same a team rivalry.

"You" ? Are you stereotyping, shouldn't you have used 'those" ?
Your passing judgment.

What's your definition of a racist ? Pick up a dictionary published before 1970. It describes almost every progressive during America's progressive era. That they believed that Northern Europeans were superior to all other races and ethnicities. That non Northern Europeans were inferior and couldn't compete in America's society without special privileges and protections.

The American political left have borrowed from the Marxist of revisionism and changing the definition of words to further a political agenda.

The definition of words have changed over time. Some words actually become slang words.
Take for example the word "awe." Something that you FEAR but Respect. During the 1970's you started hearing people using the word "awesome," but it still had the same definition as "awe." But by the 1980's it became a slang word with a different definition. "Last nights concert was awesome." What part of the concert did you fear ?

big·ot (bĭg′ət)
n.
One who is strongly partial to one's own group, religion, race, or politics and is intolerant of those who differ.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

[French, from Old French.]
Word History: Bigots may have more in common with God than one might think. Legend has it that Rollo, the first duke of Normandy, refused to kiss the foot of the French king Charles III, uttering the phrase bi got, his borrowing of the assumed Old English equivalent of our expression by God. Although this story is almost surely apocryphal, it is true that bigot was used by the French as a term of abuse for the Normans, but not in a religious sense. Later, however, the word, or very possibly a homonym, was used abusively in French for the Beguines, members of a Roman Catholic lay sisterhood. From the 15th century on Old French bigot meant "an excessively devoted or hypocritical person." Bigot is first recorded in English in 1598 with the sense "a superstitious hypocrite."

It's obvious that many LGBT activist are intolerant to those who oppose homosexuality and must be bigots.

Here's a question to ponder, can an atheist be a bigot ?
