You'd say that, but you would be wrong. Yachts and private jets create a tangible, trackable number of jobs that can be counted and quantified. So do televisions and toasters. What "you'd say" doesn't matter at all.

Creating hundreds of millions of toasters and televisions is far better economically than creating a couple thousand or ten thousand yachts and jets. It creates far more jobs (and therefore far more wealth) to manufacture and repair hundreds of millions of tiny mechanisms than a couple ten thousand big ones. It creates far more opportunity and involves far more people in the economy.

That's why the general electronics industry is vastly more enormous than the private yacht and jet industry. Why one's employs tens, hundreds of thousands, and millions globally and another mere thousands and tens of thousands.

The author was speaking of the sentiment towards the Jewish people before the atrocities started. The Occupy movement feels the same about the 1%'ers as many of the Germans did of the Jewish people before Kristallnacht.

Do you deny this similarity?
