I've said I've been pleased with Christie's handling of the situation. He fired people that needed to be fired.

That said, MSNBC did not cause the scandal. A Republican did something wrong (assuming that people in Christie's office are Republicans, which is probably a safe assumption), just deal with it instead of trying to deflect blame.

Yes, we know. You think Ayn Rand is God. If they all went out of business, how would they make money? Most small businesses run on a razor thin margin and the owners can't afford to just stop. Even if they've been smart about saving. In fact most entrepreneurs don't know HOW to stop working, that's what makes a successful business.

So put down Atlas Shrugged, and live in the real world.

Who's Ayn Rand? I've heard/seen the name before and am kind of aware that he/she was some kind of author.

If they are living in those kind of neighborhoods, they are not operating on a razor thin margin.

By that I mean he's apologized profusely, fired the staffers known to be connected to it, and personally met the mayor of Fort Lee.

They being my two eyes and two ears, I can't believe anyone, although not you specifically because calling you out directly would be breaking the rules but if I keep it passive aggressive enough its OK even though its obvious to anyone reading this that I mean specifically you, would be stupid enough to think I was talking about some MSNBC talk show hosts. That non-specific person would have to be as dumb as a bag of rocks to think I meant that and I say that with all due respect to the rocks.

I wonder if I can blame our Democrat Mayor because of the 10 inches of snow we got since yesterday? My street hasn't been plowed yet, and the snow is still falling, and the wind chill is -15 degrees! It's all his fault, right? :mrgreen:

What personal attack I was just speaking in a general non-specific tone. Also nothing about my posts suggest I support or am convinced of a conspiracy theory, in fact I specifically say that we can't make judgments without facts. You know some people, again not specifically you but not specifically not you either, in this world are so god damn stupid to have twisted their mind to see the fantasy over the reality. To them their reality is completely defined by their perspective and their imagination which is unfortunately severely handicapped by their own prejudices and bias. I pity such people.

I know what you mean. People who see clear evidence when it suits their personal agenda and aren't quite so sure when it doesn't. I knew officers in the Army like that; total disgraces to the service; didn't deserve to wear the uniform.

I remember the previous Democratic mayor in New York- Dinkins. The city was dirty, smelly and dangerous for life. How New Yorkers again elected an idiot, I just refuse to understand.
