JACKSON, Mississippi (Reuters) - A Mississippi man accused of sending poisoned letters to President Barack Obama and two other public officials, and then pinning them on an Elvis impersonator, pleaded guilty in U.S. court and agreed to a 25-year jail sentence, the Justice Department announced on Friday.

Not only was he convicted of attempting to assassinate President Obama, but was also convicted of 4 counts of child molestation, as well as attempting to frame an Elvis impersonator for the assassination attempt.

This man is definitely a piece of work. I don't think he will last long in prison. I mean attempting to frame someone who impersonates Elvis Presley? That's unAmerican!! Now if he were to have framed Justin Bieber instead, I could live with that. LOL.

But, seriously, attempting to overthrow the government by assassinating someone who was duly elected is not revolution. It is an act of treason. This man should have received the death penalty. But, since I don't like the death penalty, I can live with this sentence.

Article is here.

HEHE maybe he thought Barry would think it was coke.

Only 25 years for attempting to assassinate the president?

That seems kind of light to me.

Assassination seems a bit harsh for someone you disagree with politically. I mean, there's a few political figures who I would chuckle if they fell down some stairs and banged a knee, but this is just mean, man.
