Iran's Rouhani casts nuke deal as win for nation

It's all Bull **** anyway...They are making 'side deals'....So in the end, whether it is 1 year from now, or 3 years we will all of the sudden hear how Iran has broken out, and is testing their bomb.....Probably close to the end of Obama's term so liberals can blame it on the next repub President like they did with NK.

Who is Abbas Araqchi to contradict Rouhani and state that Iran will continue to enrich uranium regardless? This claim is fuzzy as hell, and besides, we have this:

[Updated 8:45 p.m. Jan. 13: A State Department spokeswoman, Marie Harf, denied later Monday that there was any secret agreement.
"Any documentation associated with implementation tracks completely with what we've described," she said. "These are technical plans submitted to the International Atomic Energy Agency," the United Nations' nuclear watchdog agency.

There is a lot that the leadership is saying to its own, clearly in order to save face.

Oh yeah....The snarky little spokes liar at the State dept. is nothing but truthful...uh huh....

This was the second point in your own post....

"* Iran has committed to neutralising its entire stockpile of uranium enriched to 20 per cent, which is close to weapons-grade and therefore a main area of concern."

You didn't see that?

No, he did see that which is what prompted the comment in the first place. I suggest you re-read his statement.

Yes, we get it, you don't trust Obama, that point is not lost on us. But you didn't answer my question: who is Abbas Araqchi and what is his authority in directly contradicting the terms of the deal? You skimmed your own article, else you would have seen that Rouhani was specifically placating hard line elements in the government who clearly felt they got the raw end of the deal. There is a massive face-saving campaign going on in Iran and your distrust for the Obama administration is blinding you to that.

Oh my....Read the sentence...Neutralized to 20%....So that means they get to stockpile pretty damn close to weapons grade.

You're misunderstanding the syntax. Neutralize the stockpile that has been enriched to 20%. Yes, their wording is not great.

He is Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister, and Negotiator for Iran. I am not blinded to anything...I use history to make my conclusions on what we are accomplishing. Tell me what all of these events have in common...

"We have peace in our time. - Chamberlin"

"We will grant NK nuclear capability for power, and humanitarian use. - Clinton"

And now this current capitulation.

Yes, I have google too. Let me rephrase: You have, on one hand, the President of Iran who assures its hardliners that they won despite their very real belief that they lost. And on the other hand you have a super double-fudge-chocolate-secret side deal...that he announces to international newspapers. If it's so secret why did he announce it to international newspapers unless they're saving face?

This is another case where you simply fail to understand what it is you're reading. Remember when you used a link supporting evolution to claim evolution was a fraud? Or when you used a link supporting global warming to claim global warming was a fraud? Yep. You skim articles, take the parts you want and then ignore the rest. My suggestion is you begin to do more than skim articles. Here is the important bit:

The remarks were part of the moderate Rouhani's efforts to bring around hard-liners who claim the deal tramples on Iran's enrichment rights.

So the hard liners - you know, the people who like us less than Rouhani, are saying they got a ****ty deal - does this sound to you like Rouhani actually made anybody bow down to his demands? It's inconceivable to even claim such a thing.

I suspect if either of us knew the real inside baseball of that question, we would surely be paid much more than we make currently, and in different jobs...So, it is fair to say, that you place your trust in Obama's plan, and I don't.

I guess we will see won't we?...Just keep in mind that we have been down this road before.

And yet in spite of not having the facts you started a thread specifically stating that Obama had already capitulated to Iran's demands (that was your OP, in case you forgot). Next time I suggest waiting before rushing to print.

Is the fact that other country's leaders propagandize and appeal to political interests as well somehow surprising?

Well, I am up for discussion, but seldom do I have patience for arrogant arse's that try and tell others what they should or shouldn't do.

Well, we're all really sorry that you got called out for posting something you have absolutely no evidence for, even in the face of strong evidence contradicting your belief.
