How exactly is America and the world better off? I suppose if you believe the Russians and the Chinese and Al Qaeda have a right to all of the secrets of the Federal government, then I guess you are right. Wait a minute, that is what you guys believe! My bad.

Rand Paul is rounding up a HUGE list of supporters, contributors, and militant activists - not only for support and campaigning, but to put massive amounts of videos, blogs, messages on forums and the whole Paul political machinery style - plus a huge email and mailing list for fund raising. I have no doubt it is raising many millions of dollars out of all this. But that's how politics works. The Pauls are very skilled at this style of politics. Try to gather up everyone who is suspicious about and dislikes the federal government. And that is a lot of people.

He wasn't picked on, he was largely ignored, which is worse. The press presses the mainstream. Unfortunately they like to help to maintain the status quo. And defense contractors have their hands (and their wallets) fairly well in media, and defense contractors hate Ron Paul, for obvious reasons.

That's just your talking points way to demonize people you disagree with. The Bill of rights was born out of distrust and suspicion of the federal government. So stop framing it as something sinister. And people dislike corruption in government, there's a difference between disliking government, and disliking corruption in government. And your right that's a lot of people, it should be you, too.


And this is why we don't believe Snowden deserves anything close to the death penalty.

Actually there are people from every political persuasion and no political persuasion as well as men women, whites and minorities, LE, attorneys, professors and plumbers and on and on, if you get my point, across America that feel strongly about their Bill of Rights and they are always going to raise hell if they are violated. Or if they think they've been violated. Or! If somebody just told them that they have been violated. Thats just the way americans feel about their civil liberties. In other words, the Federal Government is the one that has to err on the side of caution when it comes to our civil liberties, its a short succinct list and its not that much to ask, and, we won't have it any other way. Now then you're aggravating me by insisting that because of that we hate government and want to crown Edward Snowden.

Beating me up for something I didn't say. I believe he escaped to China. Russia was where he found asylum. The fact that it is secret information is irrelevant. Government classifies documents primarily to protect itself, not the classified information. I don't hate the government but I'm mightily disappointed in it. I'm certainly not a fan of Russia.

He had to go somewhere who wouldn't extridite him. Maybe Iceland or a South American country would have sufficed. I'd have preferred Switzerland to be honest but Russians and Chinese fit the bill for what Snowden needed.

The guy just lost all respect for divulging POTUS/Secretary conversations, though the adult GOPs won't say it.

I admire your consistency. Your right, the resident GOP partisans won't concede, that Gate's disclosures jeopardize the Afghan war efforts.
