Speaking of the Euro model, has anyone else noticed now that when the weather channel does their extended forecasts for certain storms they have the U.S. model followed by the Euro model and they are different on every occasion I have seen this. I haven't given this any thought or I would tune in a few day later to see which model got it right. I will have to start paying more attention to it.
First problem is you watch the Weather Channel. They seek TV rating not accuracy. Stick with Accuweather, they use a blend system. I've personally sworn by them for over 10 years (Penn State guy and all). They also have forums in which all the models are discussed and posted for you to see. Both the GPS (US) and EURO tend to come inline with each other a day out. But there are some times where the models are lost, it happens. Right now for the current weather, those pesky winter storms, Euro is the main squeeze by NOAA and others.
