Northern California counties revive an old idea for a breakaway state

The whiny counties in Northern California have far more in common with the whiny southern states of 1861 than the colonies in 1775. The first two have as much representation as any other population in the country. (some would say the Southern States had MORE due to counting slaves for members in the house) The colonies lacked representation in Parliament and in fact didn't want it... they valued independence over representation. If the Northern California counties wish to declare a revolution and take to arms like the colonies did in 1775 let them have at it. You fight for separation- from the Crown, Union, or state, you don't whine for it. :roll:
