Conservatives are always the victim, always.
How do you know the old guy was a conservative?

Ridiculous or not it exists and it's not some underground idea either. Slavery ended 160 years ago yet there are many of all races that still live with the idea that someone owes them for their ancestors (whether they actually had ancestors or not who were slaves) pain. I'm not advocating this idea, I'm simply saying it exists and it's part of the "white guilt" that race hucksters like Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton and others continue to push generation over generation. My point here is connecting the dots.Dont give me any justice for slavery bull****. None of these kids have ever been slaves, none of their victims have been slave owners. That is completely rediculous. Every race at some point has been slaves, and slave owners. It is part of the past of humans. Unless you have some actual evidence that these kids were enslaved by these victims. Because to say that a long time ago someone the same color as me was enslaved by someone the same color as him somehow justifies any type of action whatsoever in the name of justice is racist in itself.

Who said that it was a myth?
Do you have a link?
You should be able to figure that out for yourself.
Probably the reason the feds got in the picture is to try to change the view that the "knock out game" is something only African-Americans do - thus try to gain publicity by prosecuting a white guy.
Because the nature of the assault is such as to have a real possibility of causing death or permanent brain damage, it should be treated as attempted murder in all instances. It does knock people out whose head then hits the concrete hard - and that is known can be lethal.
Well... I guess the knock out game isn't a myth now! /smh
They're saying the "TREND" is a myth, not the game itself.
The reason this was prosecuted as a hate crime is because the assailant used demeaning racial epithets and said that blacks hadn't fully "experienced the blessing of evolution" in other videos he made. So we already know that the assailant is a racist and so when he attacked this black man, it was seen as a hate crime.
Odd that we have heard about so many black assailants but none have been charged with hate crimes......coincidence......maybe
The DoJ is picking a case they know they can win.
Nobody in their right mind is going to get bent out of shape is this guy gets the full meal deal. He deserves it.
If, on the other hand, they were to pick a black kid that hit a white woman or a jew or a teacher there would be a public outcry that they were over-charging a kid who was a victim of his environment. That's just kind of the way things are today. We've managed, with the best of intentions, to reduce expectations of and in the black community to the point where criminal behavior is simply accepted as a part of life.
It takes a special kind of moron to not only record themselves committing a crime, but to assert that race was key in their victim selection. Getting proof, much less voluntarily supplied by the perp, for a hate crime is very difficult. Simply observing a racial difference in perp/victim is not sufficient to "prove" a hate crime.
I think it is a little odd that if a black kid plays this "game" on a white victim it is a crime. Now that we have this instance of a white kid "playing" with a black victim now it is a hate crime.
no, it's because the guy stated in the video he was looking to specifically attack a black person.
before or after the crime?

before the crime and on the very video of the crime
well that does paint somewhat of a different picture but there are lots of attacks involving blacks/whites that never get charged as hate crimes
It's in the very article from the other thread you started. Why not try to read what you post in the future, especially if you're going to get outraged over it?
Second, while I think hate crime laws are dumb and their is often a double standard in how such things are handled by the authorities and viewed by society, you can't really claim a disparity unless there are similar circumstances
