New Mexico Supreme Court rules Gay Marriage Constitutional

The only ones who had a different takeaway were the extreme right-wing pundits who desperately want to convince their fans that the battle isn't over. Every legitimate source had the same "takeaway" that I did. But like I said...hold onto those last embers if it make you just a little more comfortable until the final chips fall.

Well only time will tell if your crystal ball gazing is any more accurate than your arguments.

Let's you out then. :lamo

Sorry, but you set yourself up for that one.

Not really....why don't you pick up the opinions on both cases and read for yourself. You might actually learn something.

Oh....and while you are at it, take a look at Scalia's dissent. Scalia sees the writing on the wall, which is more than I can say for your right-wing pundit friends.

LOL...The USSC is very likely to rule on the issue in the near future which with make marriage equality the law of the land. What are you going to do then? Move to China?

He has stated he has no belief in the Constitution anyway so I dont think he cares. However I also dont know where he'd go that he'd would find that would have fundamental beliefs similar to his and be *run (dictated) that way.* So the US enables him the freedom to believe as he choose....he'll just have to continue to deal with all the people that choose to live their lives 'their way.'

Yes it does have an effect on my life. The acceptance of that lifestyle is simply a furthering of the destruction of morality in this nation which was started in earnest a century ago with the feminist movement.

Only if you let it.

If a gay married EMT comes to your house if you have an accident, are you going to refuse the ambulance, because he or she may be married?

You haven't been listening. I have, did that when the decision was reached. I don't trust your legal analysis or your powers of prediction.

If you actually read the decisions and Scalia's dissent it is not too difficult to understand where the court is going. Its pretty clear.

Why do you think Scalia was so upset in his dissent and talked about the "writing on the wall". What do you believe Scalia was referring to?

That's fine with me. If that's what I have to do in order to maintain at least a semblence of decency in my life, so be it. Guess this means I'm doing my homework this weekend by researching what businesses are based in New Mexico.

Please let us all know

I'll believe it when I see it...it would be a flat out waste of money.

They did it here. The state legislature passed it but the pro-family contingent got together, got enough signatures, and forced a vote. And they lost.

But it is part of our state's laws and the state legislature didnt have a choice once they got enough signatures, didnt matter what it cost.

One more state added to the list of places not to visit, and whose companies I will try not to do business with.

Yeah, Tigger...the word is out about you. All the gays in New Mexico are waiting...patiently. They know that someday...for some unknown reason...you'll pass through their state...they'll be waiting...and KaPOW! And the merchants in NM...probably won't go broke if you don't do business there.

So much for Tigger Dynasty...

Of course he would, because otherwise he'd be a hypocrite.

Edit: And he'd do the same if he knew that it was a straight person living in sin...unmarried...with someone of the opposite gender. Or someone he knew was cheating on their spouse. It's all living in sin, all the same, all to be 'condemned' and so must be thrust away. To use their services is to be complicit.

What's wrong-you afraid some dude is going to propose to you?

seriously, how does that hurt you at all?

You read as you post, with extreme self-confirmational bias. That's preceisely why your analysis of this or any other court decision is suspect.

yeah they all wear badges telling these things:lamo

You must have a real big shopping bill. Because living in New England you must not be able to do business with any companies in the region you live in.

What do you believe Scalia was referring to when he said that the writing in on the wall? Do you think he was referring to graffiti?

The entire dissent is Scalia railing against a majority he believes has abandoned their oaths and been dishonest in their motives, their judgement and their decisions. It was a pretty emotional analysis of the decision at hand. He contradicts himself several times in the dissent and appears to be fed up with the majority. I doubt any reasonable reader would use Scalia's dissent as a pro or con for ANY argument or prediction.

That's nice, but the majority of computer parts are made in Japan, China and South Korea, none of which support gay marriage, or gays in particular.

And that has absolutely no relevance whatsoever to what Tigger said. Thank you for playing.

Too bad... it's rather pretty here and the history is of the richest in the nation.

Where's j-mac when we need him to tell us all how thuggish Tigger's behavior is?

No, but it has relevence to what YOU claimed. That's why I quoted what you posted above my response. You tried to make a specious point and the point failed on the facts.

So what will you do when it's finally legal in every state? Move to Mexico?

I think the way the Russians are treating their gays these days it'd probably be a better fit for him.

I'll believe it when I see it...it would be a flat out waste of money.

We got a majority dem legislature here in NM but a Republican governor who would not shock me to do stupid things because doing stupid things seems to be her forte.

I think people should be flattered when anyone states their attraction to them regardless of their gender. It's a freegin' compliment.
