In Eulogy, Obama Lauds Mandela as 'Great Liberator' of 20th Century

I dont lean down to speak to shorter people either.

Some of us love excuses I suppose.

Some of us love lying too.

I can't count the number of times I've been in a crowded area and leaned in closer so the person I was talking with could hear me.

I'ts very clear you refuse to accept any alternative other than Obama was bowing down.

Which might I add, is already incorrect as you don't have physical contact in a bow.

Why are people transposing two entirely different threads? This thread is about Obama comparing Mandela to Gandhi, MLK and Lincoln. Same event, different freakin subject.

I think superimpose would be the correct term.

Mandela on Castro and the Cuban revolution:

“From its earliest days, the Cuban Revolution has also been a source of
inspiration to all freedom-loving people. We admire the sacrifices of the Cuban people in maintaining their independence and sovereignty in the face of the vicious imperialist-orquestrated campaign to destroy the impressive gain made in the Cuban Revolution. … Long live the Cuban Revolution. Long live comrade Fidel Castro.”

Because you mentioned the manufactured outrage, and that's the part I read first.

Eh....both are displays of desperation...so they are somewhat related.

Ill stick with transpose.

verb

verb: transpose; 3rd person present: transposes; past tense: transposed; past participle: transposed; gerund or present participle: transposing

1.

cause (two or more things) to change places with each other.

"the captions describing the two state flowers were accidentally transposed"

synonyms: interchange, exchange, switch, swap (around), reverse, invert, flip

"the blue and black plates were transposed"

Why is he even there with these losers? Send Biden, that's what VP's are for, so the President doesn't have to lower himself by going. Obama just loves to get on AF-1 whenever he can and get out. Also likes to bow down to his idols whenever he can, doesn't give a crap about them respecting us.

Because Obama wants to be linked to Mandela.

One is sucking up to a commie dictator while the other is comparing a terrorist to a great American president but both of those are displays of desperation so you may have a point.

You are seriously getting desperate....but carry on if it makes you feel all warm and tingly....

I figured you were wanting to go with the musical term. Anywho.

Maybe Obama could stay over there and just step into Mandela's shoes as their president. Certainly he would feel much more at home there.

Carter, Clinton and....wait for it....BUSH also went. Isn't Biden in Asia anyway?

Had to race bait did you?

First Obama bows to Castro now he compares a convicted terrorist that refused to denounce terrorism to obtain an early release from prison to Gandhi, MLK and Lincoln.. I am reaching my limit here today.

"Comparing him to the great leaders who came before him, Obama likened Mandela's legacy to that of Mahatma Gandhi, Martin Luther King, Jr., and Abraham Lincoln."

Until their revolution ends like some of the socialist revolutions and the communist revolutions, you aren't going to see me contradict all that much.

Leftists demonstrating their love of country.

If disagreeing with certain elements of US foreign policy makes one not love their country, I would say that you are demonstrating that in this thread.

It was a frigging funeral. It wasn't the place for this political bull****. You act polite, like an adult, and go about your day.

It was not your Mom and Pop funeral but a political event full of speeches and handshaking with other world leaders. Don't be naive. When a political leader bows and scrapes to other political leaders, that's a statement, a political statement. The seeming fact Obama doesn't know that shows he's not fit for the job.

LOL...the right-wingers are so desperate its hilarious. So, bowing (which is a customary greeting in many countries of the world) is bad.....but This is ok?

Sorry...but your desperation is showing.

Considering they were actually considered friends as I recall, that's not taking a subordinate position as Obama seems to enjoy.

 Come on. This is the sort of things fools complain about. In 4 years we will have a ton of whiners about a Republican in office, should that come to pass. Everything from how the guy/gal will take their steak to their golf swing will be analyzed and used to say that they don't deserve the job.
