Militia group calls for Obama's assassination

Sure, in 2012 I called the house right, the presidency, but missed two senate races, North Dakota and Indiana. I didn't take into account all the party switchers, by that I mean people who would vote Republican for president and democratic for senators. Romney won Indiana by 12 point and yet they elected Donnelly a Democrat to the senate, in North Dakota, Romney won there by an amazing 20 point only to have the people of North Dakota send a Democrat heidekamp to the senate. Go figure.

I do a monthly blog on my profile and the next one is due 1 Dec. here is the one for 1 Nov.

http://www.debatepolitics.com/blogs/perotista/1057-1-nov-2013-u-s-senate-update-number-3.html

There will be changes to it come 1 Dec and I have also added two states to my senate watch list. Stay tuned as they say.

thanks ...

I lost all respect for McCain with this moment.

I lost all respect for him when he told an interviewer that government health care couldn't work for Americans. After it was pointed out that he's had government health care all his life he played the POW card- "Well, a different government looked after my health for a few years." Attaboy, John.

Christian militia calls for Obama

The Christian American Patriots Militia is openly calling for the assassination of President Barack Obama on their Facebook page. The Christian militia calls Obama a “dictator,” and claims the “authority to kill Obama comes from the 2nd Amendment of our Constitution.”

Scumbags.

Arrest them all

Dictator? Who does a 'lame duck' dictate to?

Thanks for the tip but I used ti intentionally. I will let everyone know if they stop by.
I happen to know that the Secret Service really despises that short hand and wishes people would stop using it.

Its called freedom of speech whether you agree or not.

I disagree with it 100%. I don't care who you are or how you feel about a sitting President, his policies, his political position, whatever - you DON'T get to communicate a death threat directed toward the President of the United States (or anyone else for that matter) and hide behind freedom of speech. "Oh, it's my right to say I want to see him dead or I wish someone would kill him, but I never said I wanted to pull the trigger." Not only is it cowardous, it's wrong and wreckless. Why? Because you never know in whose head you plant such a seed to kill based on nothing else but their own hatred, prejudice, bigotry, political views or self-interest.

Is this case compareable to the case with the federal employee starting a race riot?

That's why they wore the masks. Besides, ain't nothing wrong with some protest and civil disobedience. **** the establishment, **** the authority.

You have the right to civil protest and in doing so the 1nd Amendment grants you the right to voice your opinion, concerns and yes, disagreements over policies or social conditions that affect you. But such assemble and freedom of speech DOES NOT give you the right to make death threats. This is, in part, why the FBI closely monitored Civil Rights groups and their leaders from MLK, Jr to Malcomb X the same as they monitored White Supremacy groups like the KKK, Skinheads or the American Communist Party from the '40s and '50s.

Regardless of who does it for whatever reason, it's just plain wrong!

Man, Starbucks got cheap.

I understand the current laws, I disagree with them though. Since part of the very foundation of our Republic is that the government can and sometimes must be done away with when it no longer serves the rights and liberties of the people, our ability to preach insurrection and revolt must remain unabridged. It's not the law, I get it, but as this is a debate board where we put forth our opinions; that is mine. It should be legal and it should be protected by the 1st. Government doesn't want it to be legal because it doesn't want anyone preaching against their power.

I think it's more simplistic than that. If you've ever been part of a crowd that suddenly turned chaotic - frightened, ruckus, radical, angered - then you know that it doesn't take much to insight the crowd to violent. I see the same thing with communicating a threat especially against political officials. Yes, we live in a country where we can voice our opinions, but just because you have the right to say whatever you want doesn't mean you should say everything you want. There are limits; the classic example: you can't yell FIRE in a crowded room for the obvious reason - it insights fear which leads to panic.

Exercise your right to voice your opinion on the issues that affect you, i.e., "I don't want my taxes raised, I don't want to be compelled to buy things I don't want, I don't believe in socialism, etc., etc., etc.," but communicating a death threat to the President or anyone else...IMHO that's where that line needs to be drawn.

"Will no one rid me of this turbulent priest?"

Some researchers corroborate a link with violent video games and violent Hollywood Left movies with teenagers and young adults shooting up schools and movie theatres.

Wow - So let's ban all videogames..... While we are doing that, we can ban all guns too.

Don't have to ban guns since guns were around before we had the problems we have today. It has to be something that didn't exist fifty years ago that exist today.

Maybe it's liberal political correctness that's the problem ?

So, by your standard there is a bias against Obama as well.

But I have to ask a question, with either case, how much coverage is really appropriate? The more coverage, the more 15 minutes of fame for hate groups. Could backfire.

Sure there is bias displayed with Obama. Some for, some against. That is the nature of today's op ed reporting style.

I think the universal distaste for extremist groups regardless of where they fall on the political spectrum is rejected by rational people.

So you want to ban video games?

No, but todays young ones should be outside involved in physical activities instead of sitting in the house playing video games.

Yesterday they released the report on the Sandy Hook shooting. I haven't read it but from what I heard on the news, the shooter was obsessed with violent video games. One video game that had to do with shooting up a school full of children.

The Newtown, CT gunman played a horrific computer game called ‘School Shooting,’ before entering Sandy Hook Elementary School and killing 20 innocent children, 6 teachers and his own mother, revealed a shocking new Nov. 25 police report, released one year after the shooting.

>"Police discovered that Lanza had a fascination with school shootings and violence before shooting himself into the school by blowing out the windows of the locked school with his Bushmaster XM15-E2S rifle. He killed 20 children in 2 classrooms and the teachers in each room in the span of only 5 minutes.

He had played “first person shooter” video games, including a computer game called “School Shooting,” before copying the game’s premise and targeting children and teachers in the school and then taking his own life..."<

Adam Lanza: School Shooting Video Game Played By Sandy Hook Gunman - Hollywood Life

The liberal MSM seems to downplay the video game connection, they want to blame guns or the Tea Party. -> Sandy Hook killer Adam Lanza took motive to his grave - CNN.com

How the No-Spin Zone reported the story. (There's actualy a link to the full report) -> No motive determined in Newtown shooting, but gunman was obsessed with Columbine, report says | Fox News

We actually don't have to do anything, the problem will take care of itself. What we're all waiting for are the leaded gasoline poisoned generations of the 40's, 50's, 60's, and partially 70's to die and leave the Earth to the more peaceful, non poisoned generations. We're already seeing a massive decline from the peak around 1990 when the lead babies in their 20's and 30's were in their most dangerous prime. Just so happens this trend also correlates with the rise of conservatism... lower iq's, more aggression, inability to think through complex issues, its all intertwined.

I thought guns were an epidemic in the progressive circle? now they're minor?

Got me, I don't swim in those circles. Didn't say they were a minor factor in the side issue we were discussing, just that they aren't the main factor.

Thanks for finding this! It shows how the Government uses an iron fist against leftists and environmental protesters, while allowing crazy right wing militias to metastasize. Maybe when things descend to outright fascism...similar to a situation like Greece, they will look to these groups as their base of support.

You know, that's an interesting theory.

The only problem I see is that we lead babies somehow figured out how to get all the money. So, somehow the lower IQ, aggressive, inability to think through complex issues folks are superior to those I assume you represent.

Dang, sure glad I'm not that deep in the primordial ooze. If we're so plagued, you folks are apparently fortunate to remember to breath on an ongoing basis.

It should be interesting to see what your kind remember to do when you get down the road. :peace

Well I should hope you lead babies figured out how to get all the money, considering you were the only people alive at the time. Doh! Those darn absent critical thinking skills git me every time!

That's one way of looking at it, lead poisoning equates to less violence.

Personally I prefer a large internal combustion engine with dual Holley quad carbs sucking up high octane leaded gas = horsepower with high torque and speed.

BTW: Doesn't explain why todays generation has lower SAT scores today than 45 years ago even after dumbing down the SAT twice to increase the scores and today they are allowed to use calculators which weren't allowed by that leaded out generation.
