It might turn out the Israelis are right. But it would almost surprise me, if they did not wait to see if the inspectors can inspect, THE ENRICHMENT STOPS AND THE STOCKPILE CAN BE VERIFIED and destroyed.

No bet. The Israelis don't have the means to attack Iran militarily.

Huh ? Israel, who has been on the recieving end of Americas Top-Secret nuclear bunker busting technology, has no means to attack a nation who struggling economically due to extended sanctions ?

Think again. I think Israel could easilly do away with Iran's Nuclear program.

Keeping IRAN from blocking the Hormuz Straight is another thing entirely and most likely will be left up to the American Navy.

Not without a lucky shot or a nuclear attack. Israel could not otherwise easily do away with Iran's nuclear programs alone. Israeli aircraft would need in-flight refueling, would need Saudi airspace, and they only have a handful of tankers to do it with. The only plane the IAF has that can carry a GBU-28 is the f-15i which can only haul 1 at a time. It would take Israel weeks if not months to strike all of Iran's nuclear sites, and after the first time, their presence would likely be well-anticipated.

Or through Turkey. How is Israel with Turkey? Lord knows we have our airbases there.

We can't be involved in it. We have apparently reached a deal. We could have done this 100 times over when we were in Iraq if we were really so inclined. We want Iranian oil, not that we already do not get it through intermediaries. We need to be the last ones on this planet to cause widespread nuclear contamination of most of a whole nation after that whole Japan thingy.

Next fall, probably after the election. Heres why-this deal goes for 6 months, at which time the international community will try to verify what has happened. This will take months-but Israel CANT be seen as the aggressor-though they will certainly strike if they believe they need to. This makes them appear restrained, and mindful of world opinion. After the mid terms, Obama gives the green light. Unless...Obama's polls are even lower-at which point he might move it up-"approval" that is.

Again, if Iran has nukes, Israel will strike as soon as it can. In the interim-saber rattling, and Israel making it clear they will act.

I wasn't implying we do it for Israel. but more of them using our turkey influence to let them have the airspace and refueling capabilities of turkey to carry out a mission in Iran.

Fully agree. What a cluster**** that would turn into over there. Sunni killing Shi'ite. Shi'ite killing Sunni and every faction killing the Kurds.

Pretty much. This is where daddy Bush was much smarter than Jr. Bush when he understood "If you break it you own it" with regards to streamrolling Iraq.

Iraq is simply us not learning from history in that this is all a repeat of what happened to Yugoslavia when Tito, it's iron fisted dictator, died. The country broke up into relgious sects and went to war with itself. Sometimes a dictator in place is a country's only glue holding together people who are bent on religous hate of one another. Which seems to be the case when you have a poor and undereducated populace clinging to religion and is more concerned with the after-life than they are their present life.

They do possess dolphin class Subs and I'm betting there are at least two in the Persian Gulf, also your'e making the assumption that we all know exactly what they're capable of militarily.

Right. Because Syria and Iraq just love the Jews. "It is said" is a really poor source to site for any credibility.
