It's offical Obamacare enrollment is low.

She is all knee-jerk and shallow, 2nd amendment remedies if you will..
I'm sure you would feel as comfortable having Palin on the Intelligence Committee as we have with Bachmann..
And now she feels the need to slam McCain..
And she is evrything you need to know about being a Catholic..
Please stay visible Sarah, along with Cruz and the rest..

I'll take " knee jerk and shallow " over bald face lies and massive corruption any-day personally.

What you people get out of being lied to repeatedly is beyond me. There seems to be some innate intellectual masochism that goes with being a Liberal that I don't want any part of.

I have been studying independents since 1992 when I worked hard to get Perot elected. I think independents are plain tied of the abortion arguing. It's been the law for what? 30 years or more. It's time to move on and stop bringing it to the forefront. On gay marriage, most independents don't give a hoot one way or the other. It just isn't a hot issue for them. But you are absolutely right, they want a candidate to come up with a plan for jobs, the economy, something to get this country moving again.

:agree: We were promised a plan for jobs several years ago...then we learned that those "shovel-ready" jobs really weren't there , but we did get a fine "Cash for Clunkers" plan instead. Then we learned that there were going to be thousands of new jobs available "soon," only to learn that most of them were at McDonalds and other fast food places, which is better than none at all, I guess. Then we heard BHO say, many times, that he was focued like a laser on jobs, but unemployment ticked up again to 7.3percent last month, and now they're talking about a 29-hour work week? Getting hard to believe anyone is concerned about jobs, except those who are unemployed!

as my post says; the GOP won't allow anything that stupid on any other tickets; Palin is calling the Pope a liberal; what a ****ing idiot;

Palin isn't Catholic but there are a lot of traditional Catholics all over the world that have spoke up with concerns over the new Pope calling Pope Francis quite liberal. Are they ****ing idiots too?

Remember when Palin called the Independent Payments Avisory Board (IPAB) the "Death Panel"? And the media mocked and lambasted her over those comments?
Well now it seems a certain Sen. Ben Cardin (D-MD) said on C-SPAN a couple of days ago that the Independent Payments Advisory Board (IPAB) which will cut Medicare costs by restricting care--should be "revisited." A caller called in to ask the Senator about the constitutionality of the IPAB and here is his response.

Cardin said,

"The Affordable Care Act contains many provisions. I strongly supported the bill itself. But in terms of that particular provision, I agree, there are certain concerns that I have. The purpose of the board is to make sure that health care costs are maintained at a reasonable level and that there is an objective review of the payments made under the healthcare system. That was the main purpose of this board in its report. It comes into effect under certain circumstances. It has not been implemented yet, but it is a provision in the law that needs to be revisited to make sure the concerns you expressed do not occur."

So what Palin voiced concerns over for YEARS, the Democrat Senator from Maryland has just recently made it public he too has issues with that same part of the bill as Palin and thinks it needs to be revisited for the same reasons Palin gave. It's been almost a week since the Senator was on C-Span and did you hear anyone in the MSM mock him wanting that part of the bill be changed? Nope not a word.

that number would be 106,185..
and 396,261 are now Medicaid eligible..

You missed the and purchased part. The number you're using includes all of those who created an account and chose a plan but have not purchased anything yet. That would be like counting all of my estimated jobs as revenue even if I didn't do them.

Oh stop. Its low because the website hasnt worked properly and its a bit confusing right now. Give it time. Just as radicals got use to all the other "socialized" benefits (medicare, social security, etc) the will get use to this too. Once all the kinks get worked out everything will be ok. In other words...especially to all you hateful hypocritical Christians out there...Affordable Healthcare for ALL is here to stay.

LOL, yeah, I think you hit the nail on the head. Only the unemployed are concerned it seems. Everyone else in Washington is too busy with the ACA to worry about jobs. What stinkin jobs?

They had years to get the kinks worked out, and get it up and running well. It was a complete failure.

Wasn't that candidate Barack Obama ?

Obama did such a good job during his first term, it explains how he got reelected. :lamo

IMO Obama was a very vulnerable sitting president and could have been had. It was just the Republicans didn't choose the right candidate and the candidate they choose ran one of the most inept campaigns since Bush the first back in 1992. But don't worry, Bush the second was ripe to be had in 2004, then the Democrats ran the wrong guy. Going back in 1996, it was the Republicans turn to run the wrong guy against another vulnerable sitting president. Now no one could have Beaten Reagan in 1984, not even Washington, Lincoln or FDR. But on the other hand, almost anybody else could have beaten Jimmy Carter in 1980. You have elections like these and always will.

De-ja vu

That's right, it was in 1958 with the Ford Edsel when I first heard those same words. " Once all the kinks get worked out everything will be ok." :lamo

>" How did the Edsel come to be synonymous with failure? All of the above, consolidated into an irrational groupthink and pressurized by a joyously catty media. Interestingly, it was Ford President Robert McNamara who convinced the board to bail out of the Edsel project; a decade later, it was McNamara, then Secretary of Defense, who couldn't bring himself to quit the disaster of Vietnam, even though he knew a lemon when he saw one. Still doesn't explain why 52% of the voters in 2012 would choose to continue four more years of failure, lies, cover-ups.

Romney had a track record of more success and little failures. It was a no brainer that things would improve in America and even in Congress if Obama wasn't given a second chance.

Personally I would like to see the GOP run a conservative candidate for once. What do they have to lose ? Back in 1980, Reagan was considered a right wing conservative back then.

2012 will be remembered as a year when Republican candidates had foot in mouth disease. Also remember Romney did a 180 on a lot of his before life long political beliefs to run for president. There was a lot of distrust when it came to him. Even here in Georgia, that distrust definatelly showed with a lack of enthusiam for him. Georgia should have been solid in his column after he received the nomination, but it remain in the lean Romney column until about a week or two before the election. That fact alone speaks volumns, at least to me.

Now Reagan was vetted in 1976 with his insurgent campaign against Ford. In 1980 the misery index was above 20% and almost any Republican would have won that year. But Ronnie had a vision and he stuck to it. I think that is important, a vision I mean. Romney last year never put forth his vision to the American voter where he wanted to lead this country to. When Bush the first lost in 1992, he mocked it, by calling it that vision thing. He didn't have one and he lost.

I think a conservative or moderate it doesn't matter. Who ever it is must have a vision for America and he must be able to convey that vision in simple terms to the electorate at large. He must be able to make the people believe him that the vision he has is best for them and that he wants them to climb on board. Reagan keep things simple when he ran, who ever runs in 2016 must be able to do the same.

I concur Perotisa, but you have political idiots in charge of the Republican National Committee. It's been like that since 1988.

The GOP better get their #### together real quick because nobody has been in charge of the GOP since 2010, not even is the RNC in charge.

I think the real concern is not the low number of folks who have enrolled in Obamacare but the explosion of people getting on Medicaid. The Federal government and states share in the cost. As a result of this expansion, the numbers I've been seeing by 2020 Medicaid under Obamacare will increase by $619 billion. The federal government will initially pay for most of the new spending, about $572 billion. But the expansion will become a real strain on state budgets as well, since the federal contribution decreases overtime. Estimates state the expansion will bring total state Medicaid spending to $2.3 trillion through 2020. That's going to mean higher state taxes and less money available for police, firefighters, education etc. Not good news when we already carry a trillion deficit each year. Another side effect of all this will be a struggling economy. Those who put up capital to create jobs have a tendency to shut down when government spending is out of control. The reason is every wealthy person/corporation knows they have a target on their backs and the government is going to come after them for more revenue. The more the government takes from them the less they have to expand meaning less jobs. The near future especially the next three years looks very dismal.

I agree totally

I heard on the news today that one reason the president is standing fast on the implementation dates and will not extend the deadline is the insurance companies who went along with the ACA are really pushing the president hard against it. They need their money now, not 6 months or a year from now as they are now insuring are these folks with pre-existing condidtions which is causing them to lose money without the input of the healthy invinceables. This was reported on our 24hours news radio channel, a Cumulus broadcasting company. Not Fox. It seems to make sense, but I haven't heard any of this on the other news outlets.

I advanced this supposition a few weeks back specific to the individual mandate delay. Carrying it further presume these young invincible's don't enroll to the extent sufficient to support the Ins Cos liability for the pre-existing folks. They will either jack premiums WAY UP negating the Administrations 'promise' to reduce costs ('folks save ~$2500/yr') OR there will be a push for 'bailout' till enrollment levels rise to a point to negate the liability imbalance...which considering the mid term elections will be COMPLETELY IMPOSSIBLE to pass.

similar percentages as to the Massachusetts roll-out as far as "free" stuff is concerned

that Black fella Michael Steele did a pretty good job with the RNC and winning the 2010 election..
then the GOP fired that Black fella because he's not a flaming TEAtard/turd..
and now you have Reince priebus--what a POS he is .

Makes sense.

over the weekend they were krowing the ACA was below 50,000..
the gtood news, the number 106,185 won't be going down, the GOP nightmare .
Nice framing in past tense something that hasn't even started yet.

Yeah, it's going to be quite comical when those folks show up for medical care and when asked to see their 'insurance card' they say 'but I got a plan, I even put it in my cart'...:lamo

I think there's more behind the story why Steel was sent packing. Good guy but he wasn't connecting with the populace.

I would have to go back digging through old RNC e-mails to remember exactly why he was replaced.
The Tea Party has little influence within the RNC. The neoconservatives sure do.

Sorry APACHE, Steele was opposed by those you would expect to oppose a Black Maryland Republican..
And now we have the toad Reince Priebus..
And if you still would listen to Steele to this day, you couldn't tell he was treated in this shabby way by the GOP/RNC..

Half of those 106,185 were in California. Doesn't take into account the 1 million Californians who just had their insurance policies canceled.

These enrolments don't mean jack #### unless the vast majority are young and healthy (20-40yr. olds) individuals signing up. It's that age group who won't be using Obamacare but who will be paying for the coverage for the rest of the population who will be using Obamacare.
