It's offical Obamacare enrollment is low.

i am not spinning i am just pointing out why the democratic bill in the senate is a better fix then the one being offered by the republicans in the house.

Sorry about that; I didn't mean to infer that you were spinning. I was talking about the line when it first came out.

The answers to the problems lie in both party's proposals. Neither one has all the answers, and parts of each ones proposals will make the situation worse.

that begs the question: will the senate republicans filibuster the Landreiu proposal if it comes up for a vote, and will it be fair to blame republicans for doing so just for the sake of politics?

It is irrelevant, but i love talking about the Braves. Moving the ball park is neither a left or right issue.

Yeah.....well, I think someone knows that too. Especially when the time has come for those Democrats to take their Lumps, and Hard Too! ;)

Christie/Rubio sounds good for the Hispanic vote in the southwest, southeast, southwest..
TEAts are still mad at Rubio over Rubio's immigration bill the House is sitting on..
Repub TEAts are just **** out of luck again as Rubio is needed more than a TEAt to balance the ticket .
I don't know, it is so early in the game. People were begging him to be VP last year and his stock couldn't have dropped that much. I would put him above Paul and Cruz in the nominee chance game at this point, behind Christie. But we don't even know if he wants to run.

The number of people who have signed up and purchased a policy is 26,000. Just for perspective, that is less than the population of the small mostly rural county I live in in NE Georgia.

Come on all you young Obama supporters, get of there and take one for the team. You are the people who wanted this, buck up.

But Rubio is VP material, and not nearly as scary as Paul or Cruz, who Christie will never take .
With this and Immigration. He wont ever win the Nominee.

I doubt they'll filibuster the bill. They will attempt to add amendments, and use the filibuster on another bill to force Reid to allow their amendments to come to the floor. That's usually the way it works, regardless of which party is in power in the senate.

Just like the holding up of Presidential nominations to get the Benghazi hearings started and other Republican bills to the floor that are being help up by Reid.

Rubio? He has visited Iowa at least 5 times this year.

Senate Republicans filibuster??How could you think of such a thing??
A filibuster here would help Dems and throw it all back at McConnell..
And conservative Feinstein will sponsor the Landrieu bill..

and suppose they do fillibuster it?

Rubio, Paul, Palin, Santorum, Cruz----will all split the vote allowing Christie to win the nomination---scary would be if you knew the rules in the 50 different states with either primaries or caucuses--thank brother Michael Steele for them--all uninsured should be insured right now, correct..

that number would be 106,185..
and 396,261 are now Medicaid eligible..

that plan is not the democratic plan your link mentions in detail.

Yeah and.....how does that affect the fact that Manchin sponsored legislation in the Senate with Kirk. Which was before Landrieu's.

and suppose they do fillibuster it?

The only reason I can imagine the Republican's would do so, would be to get something changed or added or both. I seriously doubt the Republicans would filibuster just to stop it cold. Now, that said, there's no telling what Cruz or the other Tea Party loons will do.

Hello fellow Washingtonian. More accurately, 106,000 out of around 15 millionish (which I think is the targeted pool of uninsured/those insured with "inadequate" plans). Still laughably low, but I think we all expected that. Unsustainable if the numbers don't work out.

Well, 1 of 150 isn't THAT low.

"Splitting the vote" doesn't really work that way.

But your data is a great talking point for Democrats..
I've always wanted you on my side debating..
President blow-job's wife ****ed up insurance 20 years ago and now a fellow chicken-****
chicken-hawk like Cheney lies that you can't get another insurance policy .

UPDATE: Only 26,794 of Obamacare enrollments came through the federal exchange.....snip~

Yes.....indeed it is a great talking point. When exemplifying failure on a massive level and all hand-crafted by Democrats, Liberals and the Progressives.

Well there really isn't any good choice now.....is there. That's what the Democrats and Obama has left us.

You can’t run a two-tiered healthy/sick insurance system. If the risk pools aren’t merged, replete with higher rates for the former, you can’t pay for the latter.

So if the young and healthy are able stay on their older, cheaper plans, where does all the necessary new money come from? Two readily apparent options: A tax increase, or a federal bailout of insurance companies. Either one of these would be positively radioactive politically. Absent either of those, insurance companies would jack up rates again to compensate, pulling the country around a major death spiral bend. There really are no good options left. Don't forget, every single Senate Democrat voted against Republicans' "keep your plan" fix in 2010, when it might have made a difference.....snip~

True. Sad, but true.

Romney said they shouldn't be able to scofflaw on insurance their whole lives and then jump in at age 45..
And he wrote the damned law..

Which is utterly idiotic. It's like saying you should have to pay auto insurance your entire life, even if you don't own a car, just in case you decide to get one someday.

Romney is as much a moron as Obama.

Republican rules in most states have a "split-apportionment" of delegates--the green papers..
Republican rules in most states do not have a "closed" caucus or primary system..
"Splitting the vote" doesn't really work that way.

What percent of Massachusetts folks have insurance today..
I don't want to pay for uninsured scofflaws when they have an emergency need..How about you??

Now you see why.....those Democratic Senators are on the Bubble and panicking. ;)

Every single Democrat voted against Keep your plan in 2010.....think they can live it down if they hit pause?
