It's offical Obamacare enrollment is low.

So if you were in immediate need, what would you do??

Well, if I got cancelled a week ago from the plan I had, and I needed chemo, I guess I'd sign up for the Hitler plan.

i think more people will sign up as the deadline approaches.

Right now signups seem to be running 4:1 for Medicaid instead of paid individual plans. If that trend continues then where, exactly, is the funding for this program supposed to come from? I've got one suggestion....that 3.8% surcharge on Cap Gains over $200k is going to become a surcharge on anything over $100k to include ordinary wages. Just wait, the progressives will get their 70% tax rate within 2 years.

Heya Beaudreau

The House Republicans' version of this bill would trash the administration's excessive mandates for a year, allowing plans that were made illegal by the law to continue. It also makes the old plans available to everyone, not just those who were previously enrolled in them. The Landrieu/Feinstein bill limits "keep your plan" to newly-grandfathered, current and previous policy holders -- but it actually goes further in another sense. It proactively forces insurers to allow those people back onto their previous plans if they so choose (as opposed to giving insurers the option to reintroduce the cancelled plans).....snip~

Popcorn: Democrats in Disarray, Debating Whether to Turn On Obamacare - Guy Benson

the democratic plan is better because the insurance companys should not be allowed to continue selling junk policys

I'm behind by 17 posts MMC..Obviously I don't know what I'm talking about..Why are these folks wasting their time on someone who calls Darrel Issa the crook he's always been..Thanks for the data..Now you know why Rubio is putting forth his own ACA bill..He's lost in space on immigration also .

BTW, I was serious when I said I respect your standing strong with your guy on this topic. I don't agree with you, but I do respect your dogged tenacity.

Just ass with anything in our culture..
i think more people will sign up as the deadline approaches.
Now Republicans are quibbling over how many are signed up since people are now getting through..
One day at a time, one more insured American at a time..
Glad you stayed online .

I did go to the website. They put cookies on my computer that I had to remove !

You should have taken a screen shot. I haven't seen it, I'm afraid of that site.

Imagine a CEO of a company missing projections by 80 percent.....

See now, that's a spin of the left that died pretty quick. There were a few junk policies in California and a few other states, but there numbers were very low, and they were not really junk, just limited in what they covered or how much the payout would be.

The majority of policies being dropped are not in that category, and that's why (although MSNBC is sticking with that line) the majority of Democrats in Congress have abandoned that line given that it isn't as true as they were led to believe.

Well I can't speak for why you are behind 17 posts.....nor as to your deflection with anything going back to some other place and time.

How does it feel to be hoping for the government to fail??

wouldn't you hope a forest fire will fail before it burns down the whole forest

I have very good insurance through my teaching wife now that I'm retired..
We have paid more each year with different tweaks since the 1970's..
BTW, I was serious when I said I respect your standing

Teaching has made me more socialist to helping poor people..
I saw them every day in school come hungry..
My Dad was Air Force, is dead, and my Mom would have no Medicaid without his Air Force/Civil Service retirement..
As Dad would say, I will fight and die for the right of all Americans to have "good" insurance,
not "junk" that Uncle Sam will have to pay more for as the USA does now..
And the ****ing House cuts back on food stamps for our Veterans..**** these chicken-hawks..

How about that fight over Braves stadium??
The black mayor said no to wasting taxpayer funds and Gingrey and Kingston want to waste those funds..
Where is the TEAparty when you need them ?

The Tea Party is focused on Federal Spending, not local. What many on the left cannot for the the life of them understand, is that there is huge difference between federal spending and local government spending. If the federal government wanted to build every stadium in every city, you would definitely hear from more than just the Tea Party about that.

There really wasn't that much of a traffic problem where the stadium is now. It was more of a parking problem, the stadium is right off I-75. Now having to drive from the south side all the way north to Cobb County, I won't do it. Cobb and Gwinnett Counties have been trying to get either the Braves or the Falcons for a long time. This is nothing new. There is nothing wrong with the stadium now, it is pretty, fairly easily accessable except Marta doesn't run by it. But Marta won't run by the new stadium either.

I think this idea of a ball club having to have a new stadium every 20 years or so has to stop.

Not only can you not prove what you just said, you are saying that numbers that
Republikans agreed upon today are not true, just going back to the liar-in-chief meme..
Health insurance plans only count subscribers as enrolled in a health plan once they’ve submited a payment. That is when the carrier sends out a member card and begins paying doctor bills.

When the Obama administration releases health law enrollment figures later this week, though, it will use a more expansive definition. It will count people who have purchased a plan as well as those who have a plan sitting in their online shopping cart but have not yet paid.
Who counts as an Obamacare enrollee? The Obama administration settles on a definition.

Close to 3600, I wouldn't say Rubio is toast when considering all them people Florida has. Florida is one unique state with very little native population and a bunch of snow birds from other sections of the country. Around Atlanta we have more none native Georgians living in and around than native Georgians. Of course Atlanta's politics is completely different from the rest of the state.

With this and Immigration. He wont ever win the Nominee.

Well.....don't forget Manchin and Mark Kirk sent up a Bi-Partisan bill as well.

i am not spinning i am just pointing out why the democratic bill in the senate is a better fix then the one being offered by the republicans in the house.

Do you think this deflection you were given can help the left in anyway?

I don't know, it is so early in the game. People were begging him to be VP last year and his stock couldn't have dropped that much. I would put him above Paul and Cruz in the nominee chance game at this point, behind Christie. But we don't even know if he wants to run.

But your data is a great talking point for Democrats..
I've always wanted you on my side debating..
President blow-job's wife ****ed up insurance 20 years ago and now a fellow chicken-****
chicken-hawk like Cheney lies that you can't get another insurance policy .

I wonder how many who went to Obama's website have had their identities stolen ?

I would be more scared using one of Obama's ACA navigators considering how many have connections to the former ACORN.
I would probably find myself being regisgtered as a Democrat in all 50 states.

I can understand the way you feel. I see the same thing here in my area as well. I just feel that there are other ways to help people than just giving them money. I prefer to educate people so they can work and support themselves. I prefer to help people get better jobs through education so their income will go up. Advancement in ones financial situation comes from the person, not the government. What the government should do is enable people to advance themselves with programs that help them move up the ladder. Giving them money hand over fist just creates a dependency and a disincentive to do things yourself. There should be programs to help those that need it, including money for food and housing, but those should be limited in duration to incentivise them to get on their on their own two feet.

It is irrelevant, but i love talking about the Braves. Moving the ball park is neither a left or right issue.

I still have three items that have been sitting in my E-Bay shopping cart for over six years now. I wonder if E-Bay counted them as being a sale ?
