Hmmm, and I thought it was because he was 75 years old and looked 90.

Arafat was a terrorist before the West declared war on such. Today, he would be killed or captured for a few of his crimes.

It is incredibly foolish to conduct further investigation into this. No matter how unlikely it is that he was poisoned it will only inflame tensions, and if somehow it is discovered that he was poisoned the consequences could be dire. Let it rest.

I agree but unfourtuntly there are people out there who will use this as an excuse to fan the flames of hatred against Israel ( if indeed it was them)

his wife received a tidy sum to refuse to allow an autopsy right after his death
but the reality is the israelis did the palestinians an unintended favor by disposing of this corrupt rat faced bastard

If this article were about Mother Teresa being executed with radioactive materials I'd be intrigued.

But a major terrorist leader and war criminal?

I'm more concerned for the worms that were eating his irradiated corpse than I am for Arafat.

The only question I have is whether the BBC is a wholly owned subsidiary of Pallywood, inc., or of they are just volunteers?

The actual Swiss report stated that it was "moderately" possible he was poisoned via ingestion of polonium 210. How accurate is "moderately"?

He was holed up in a bunker for 2 years, with no outside contact, which means if he was poisoned via food tampering, it was an inside job.

I don't think there will be any fallout. Firstly, it's ancient history in the current scheme of things. Secondly, the polonium had to have been ingested and Arafat's intake was provided by "trusted" aides. There were likely far more people within the PLO who wanted to see Arafat neutralized than outside of it. After all, the end of Arafat brought forth the rise of Hamas to political power.

Nor has objectivity and fairness in reporting certain issues.

Well now we need to know who did it. But we will never know that. Could be rivals in FATAH, Hamas, Israel, some other rival palestinian faction. We will never know.

We really don't need to know who did it. I can't imagine a worse thing than finding out who did it. If it happened at all.
