There's a range of potential comments between those two things, and as I said...it'd help if your ridiculous oppertunistic attempt to launch into an attack on TSA was actually reasonably honest or worth while with regards to this situation, but it wasn't even that.

Your country's statistics would indicate that it is indeed the norm. I would also contend that the use of firearms is resorted to at a degree that is not the norm in any other first world country. WE are only left to wonder how many times some gungoon has pulled out his gun in a bar, a parking lot, a theater, a restaurant, or in other public places and it didn't result in somebody being killed.

Defence of the status quo is what I would call asinine and ugly. Could there be anything more asinine than suggesting that your children need armed guards around their schools to save them from being massacred, while all the while refusing to address the real problems of too many guns and too many gungoons who want to use them?

Wow, I'd be looking at a guy kind of dumbly with that response.

Another eyewitness, Brian Adamick, 43, told the Los Angeles Times that one TSA officer who was shot did not appear to be seriously injured. “I got shot, I’m fine," the unnamed TSA agent reportedly told Adamick and other witnesses on the scene. Remarkably, the agent reportedly reassured witnesses by saying he had been shot before and that the wound was not life-threatening.

So looking around, it seems this may be traceable back to I THINK the daily caller claiming to have "law enforcement sources" making the claim.

Won't go way far into this, but at this time I don't think I'd put much trust in those sources. It may turn out to be right, but from what I'm hearing it's not believed to be accurate.

It's still possible, but my advice would be to go off that being speculation, rather than fact, at this point.
