On Monday, leading media outlets including China Central TV, the People’s Daily, the Global Times, the PLA Daily, the China Youth Daily and the Guangmin Daily ran identical, top-headlined reports about the “awesomeness” of the People's Liberation Army navy’s strategic submarine force.

“This is the first time in 42 years since the establishment of our navy’s strategic submarine force that we reveal on such a large scale the secrets of our first-generation underwater nuclear force,” the Global Times said in a lengthy article titled “China for the First Time Possesses Effective Underwater Nuclear Deterrence against the United States.”

Chinese calculations for nuclear attacks on the U.S. are chillingly macabre.

Because the Midwest states of the U.S. are sparsely populated, in order to increase the lethality, [our] nuclear attacks should mainly target the key cities on the West Coast of the United States, such as Seattle, Los Angeles, San Francisco and San Diego,” the Global Times said.

The 12 JL-2 nuclear warheads carried by one single Type 094 SSBN can kill and wound 5 million to 12 million Americans,” the Global Times reported.

Here's a chilling look at a world power and government that has no respect for political correctness and has no concerns about being voted out of power. China is the dangerously toxic combination of being extreme socialist inside its borders, but full-scale capitalist to the outside world.

You wonder how this was receivers from the Chinese viewers in their homes, and if this is a mere eventuality that is only a matter of time.

Want to cut military spending and development? Think there's a real interest from China (and Russia) for real nuclear disarmament? And what trigger from the Middle East could perhaps set all this in motion?

They wargame like the US wargames, like virtually every country wargames.

On the 6 o'clock news? As if this is the gameplan against Auburn this weekend?

Does it make a difference? Is it more real if the news reports it?

Well if they do attack the US with nukes, I hope that is the side of the country they do it on.

Wait a second... We've been pointing nuclear weapons at the rest of the world as figurative "guns to their heads", and now that China is doing the same thing, they must have "no respect for political correctness"?

So we're even less special than we used to be; that shouldn't come as a surprise.

Read the hum-ho comments by the media, as if this is an instruction manual on how to change the oil on a car.

China would be ignorant not to project a defense against the threats of USA hegemony. We have actively invaded many Nations so only the morons don't think we would invade them. Simply shows good judgment on the part of the Chinese. Now let's boot the warmongers out of our gov't. Let's eliminate that $700 billion military offense budget. Let's get organized to fight global warming and nuclear pollution.

So they have wargames and they were reported by state media. Does reporting it make it more real? Does reporting it in a ho hum way make it more real?

That's the point I'm making. That they have nuclear weapons trained on the U.S. is not news to anyone, but the matter-of-fact way they report it to their citizenry is creepy.

Meanwhile, we have Anderson Cooper doing stories on bullying in third grade.

Lol. Lol. Lol. I'm not laughing at you, I'm laughing at the incessant China mil-tech fear that keeps getting cultivated.

First of all not a lick of this is new. None of it. We've known exactly how many SSBN's and how many ****ty SLBM's they've had for years. Why? Because they are really, really bad at making them and they only have three and they have a lot of problems. We're pretty sure they've had several on-board explosions, they can barely make their SLBM's work properly (the JL-2 is really bad), and they keep most of them in port for maintenance and testing. This is a country that is still in the adolescent stages of an advanced military industry and mastering this technology has been painfully difficult.

Secondly if it came to it we would crush them. The one or two they sent out are monitored almost immediately by US and allied naval pickets and would be sunk in the first few minutes of the war. We know where all of their land based launch sites and silos are located. In a first strike we could obliterate their nuclear deterrent. If we wanted to sink their submarines and dare them to launch a suicide strike on America (they wouldn't) we could do that too.

Call us back in twenty years. The real concern about China has to do with their development of military capabilities to challenge control of their littoral zones and deny sea control to the US and our allies in their periphery.

LOL, not for long. They're working on it overtime.

More than you know.....Check this out.

Mysterious Actions of Chinese Satellites Have Experts Guessing.....

One of the trio of new Chinese satellites, Shiyan-7 (SY-7, Experiment 7), has since made a sudden maneuver. That satellite had already finished a series of orbital alterations that put it close to one of the companion satellites with which it was launched, the Chuangxin-3 (CX-3).

"Suddenly, however, it made a surprise rendezvous with a completely different satellite, Shijian 7 (SJ-7, Practice 7), launched in 2005," noted Marcia Smith, a space policy analyst and founder and editor of SpacePolicyOnline.com.

Soon after the July launch, it was known that one of the three satellites carried "a prototype manipulator arm to capture other satellites," a tool that might be "a predecessor of an arm destined to be aboard China's large space station, set for launch in 2020 or soon thereafter," wrote Bob Christy on zarya.info

The mystery surrounding the recent launches fits the Chinese pattern, said Dean Cheng, a research fellow on Chinese political and security affairs at the Heritage Foundation in Washington, D.C.

"Not sure why these are a surprise, other than that the Chinese don't tell us what they're going to do, so anything they do comes without a convenient press briefing," he said

"But it is perhaps useful here to recall that the People's Republic of China remains intent upon establishing space dominance as part of their thinking about 'fighting and winning local wars under informationized conditions,'" Cheng said. And, even as the Chinese call for greater military-to-military contact with the United States, it's true "that they remain opaque, and that they pretty much refuse to engage the U.S. on military space issues.".....snip~

Mysterious Actions of Chinese Satellites Have Experts Guessing

Okay, we have so called experts pretty much saying.....yep this is what China does. Yet they can't figure out what the Chinese are up to. But a Simple map would kinda give all a clue. Personally I don't like seeing us taking a backseat to China or Russia when it comes to Space, the moon, Colonizing, or anything to do with whats in orbit around the planet.

Here is how they are looking to get around some of that.

New Chinese anti-satellite (ASAT) test could showcase an ability to reach medium-Earth orbit. Doing so, some analysts say, would underscore that country’s ability to place the constellation of U.S. Global Positioning System navigational at risk.....snip~

OMG !!!!

They're all out to get us!!!!!

Run!!! Scream!!! Hide!!!!!

Any use of anti-satellite weapons to attack US communications areas would result in a nuclear strike. This is not a plausible threat.

Edit: Like all projected Chinese wunderweapons I'll believe it when I see it.

You're making way too big of a deal about this, fact is that nuclear powers have had weapons capable of reaching the US and have had plans to use such weapons over over half a century now.

Which wasn't my point at all. Of course, I know this.

It's the nonchalent way they report this as "this is what we have to do to kill most Americans possible" that is disconcerting. The Germans got behind Hitler pretty lockstep, too.

Some, sure. It's hard to disagree with a group that has all the weaponry.

Yeah well, that's what it looks like they are trying to do.....which we are on top of. Yet I don't see us pushing anything out into their mix. Plus you know how they like to talk.

China’s Military Preparing for ‘People’s War’ in Cyberspace, Space.....

China-military-AP1.jpg

China’s military is preparing for war in cyberspace involving space attacks on satellites and the use of both military and civilian personnel for a digital “people’s war,” according to an internal Chinese defense report.

“As cyber technology continues to develop, cyber warfare has quietly begun,” the report concludes, noting that the ability to wage cyber war in space is vital for China’s military modernization.

According to the report, strategic warfare in the past was built on nuclear weapons. “But strategic warfare in the information age is cyber warfare,” the report said.

The new details of Chinese plans for cyber and space warfare were revealed in a report “Study on Space Cyber Warfare” by four engineers working at a Chinese defense research center in Shanghai.

The report presents a rare inside look of one of Beijing’s most secret military programs: Cyber warfare plans against the United States in a future conflict.

“Cyber warfare is not limited to military personnel. All personnel with special knowledge and skills on information system may participate in the execution of cyber warfare. Cyber warfare may truly be called a people’s warfare,” the report says.....snip~

Case in point. Do Chinese citizens have any say whatsoever? Or any power? No second amendment over there.

China Military Preparing for

We have the most sophisticated and massive cyber-warfare program on the planet. The only difference is that we have more to lose than China because we are much, much, much more advanced than China. We don't pilfer as much from China because there isn't that much to pilfer. We already know how to make nuclear submarines, turbofans, and satellites.
