When partisan hacks, who have been so wrong on so many issues up until now (shall we revisit the declarations blacks will not vote for Obama dues to SSM and Catholics for the birth control issue????) insist that after one day a program is a 'fail' I like to remember back in the day.

For the younger folks a viewing of the movie "The Right Stuff" would be far more informative than partisan pronouncements. I read the book but the movie quicker. To use NP's yardstick of first day achievements we should have never put a man in space as many of the first attempts to build a rocket capable of true space exploration were dismal failures. many rockets couldn't even clear the launch tower. The policies for the Apollo program killed three astronauts as the pure oxygen capsule with poor escape procedures, and flaws in the early capsule design doomed the crew of Apollo 1.

To be of the Wrong Stuff and quickly drop a program because it wasn't a huge success is what wimps and frenchies do.

CONs are a queer sort of folk. So rigid to see some things through to the bitter end but so quick to abandon others before the new has been knocked off of it.

Good thing this current batch of CONs were not incharge of NASA as we strove to find the Right Stuff..... :doh

You appear to be very impressed with yourself. You'd need a far better aim than you have shown in the past, a tiny portion I referenced, to strike anything. Merely pointing out how cravenly our past would have been if the new CON standards for pass/fail were in effect.

Imagine if our WWII citizens had decided since Pearl Harbor, the Philippines, Guam, and the conquest of the colonies in the South Pacific had shown how bad we were at fighting the Japanese we shouldn't try to rebound.

No Sir, your declaration of fail has so much more to do with your very well documented partisanship than any real attempt to determine if the ACA WILL BE a success.

Ahh the trinity has formed... no facts, just pouting over what they should be applauding. CONs fought the ACA for years now, over 30 votes in the CON controlled House that did nothing, now they are shocked and appalled the roll-out has issues... (might tell us more about the right wing ranter's lack of IT experience than anything else.)

it does seem quite an eye opener the CONs seem capable of only a sentence response, or BS photoshop crap of a failed BushII moment on a carrier... :roll:

I think we can all be grateful that Barrack Obama, Joe Biden, Katherine Sibelius, Eric Holder, Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid were never in charge of the Space Program. Barrack Obama has instead turned NASA into an outreach program for Muslims. Hey, 6 is a lucky number. At least in China. Not as lucky as 8, but close enough. An auspicious beginning.

Now, if the damn site would actually work, who knows what could happen. Imagine that 666 people would enroll on the first day. A small but real possibility, with most ominous and macabre repercussions.

Hats off to Field-Marshal of Healthy Human Servants (or whatever she is supposed to be) Kathleen Sebelius for sacrificing her reputation to avert such catastrophe.
