Insurance for the young could be less than $50 a month

That's why not everyone pays the same for insurance J. The insurance companies get your age and determine if you are likely to be needing such a service before charging you for it.

If you knew anything about insurance you'd know that. This is nothing new. This has been around long before ObamaCare. At no point did they have separate plans for old people, men, women, and younger people. You signed up for a plan, and they charged you based on how likely it was that you would use the services.

What an accomplishment by Obama and his team. When this thing finally gets in gear it's going to be coming home like a freight train and any racists and haters in the way are going to be dog meat!

BTW, I got my insurance through the Federal Health Insurance Exchange. The web site did not work for me, so I called the toll free number on the site, and got through in minutes. The whole process took about 2 hours on the phone. Bottom line here is that the ACA is not just a web site.

Go and get a quote on an extensive health insurance policy for a twenty something male and a twenty something female. One will be higher, for the exact same plan. That's because one of them will be getting more uses from the benefits, even though they both cover the exact same thing. Why else would they cost differently for the sexes?

Did you know that if a 60 year old and an 18 year old go out and buy the exact same car insurance, one will cost more even though they are identical policies? Why is that? Because the insurance company knows who is more likely to use that insurance. Just like with health insurance and maternity coverage. The health insurance companies figure out how much they are going to pay out for the typical middle aged man's boner pills, and they figure out how much they pay out for the typical woman's birth control or maternity care, and they charge accordingly.

This has nothing to do with opinion, and everything to do with you following nothing but talking points.

I was hoping that you could provide a link that would back up your opinion...I am not an insurance agent. But I know this. If you go out and say, buy a car....You don't want the power package that includes windows, and locks, and you don't need the sport transmission, and suspension upgrade because you don't plan on driving the car that way, the car will cost you less....A company doesn't tack on the extras then not charge you for them if you don't use them.

They do for insurance. Insurance isn't the same as a new car. A car will cost the same whether your 50 or 20. But the insurance won't. Agreed? Even though the insurance will cover both people if they get in a wreck, it will cost less for the 50 year old with a family. Why? Cause he's less likely to use it. That's real world.

Good point. I'm seeing deductibles listed at $5000, $7500 and $10,000. If you can't meet the deductible it doesn't matter if it is $5000 or $500,000, you can't pay it. My wife has a surgery coming up in January, the surgeon and the hospital are requiring the deductibles be covered BEFORE the surgery. According to the doctors I have talked to anything but life saving emergency treatment is going to be treated this way. So those young people, unless they are actually dying, are pretty much uninsured if they can not meet the deductible. For us the good thing about this surgery is that it will top out our yearly out of pocket for the family for the 2014 calendar year which is $2400. Our insurance is provided thru the hospital my wife works for (medical lab tech) so we know a lot of doctors. Not one is finding anything positive about Obamacare.

A thread to once again illustrate the racist hate for Obama. The rabid right is frothing at the mouth merely anticipating the day when the poor have good affordable health insurance. It's the way they tick.

Yet just mention the killing of a fetus the size of a pea and they come out with their hating in earnest, pretending that they actually care about people!

Not really. Sickle-cell anemia just follows the pattern of malaria distribution. How many white countries are plagued with malaria?

Sickle Cell anemia is a genetic disorder, malaria is an infectious disease.

And to answer your question, Itlay has high rates of sickle cell anemia.

You are basing your argument on an answer to a T/F question that does not have any quantifiable values. Sure, every country in the world has some people with sickle-cell anemia in it. What's your point? The distribution is in Africa, Central America, India, and SE Asia. No Whites there, sorry.
