Tea party campaign contributions tumble as Businesses support opponents

My opinion. And I stand by it, and I don't change it for the likes of someone like you.

Now, go and try to not to continue to live up/down to the stereotype that the majority has against the Tea Party...
Yeah, and you will huff and puff and ... but wait, its all just bad breath... don't change for me, change because it would be rational, logical, provable...

You got absolutely nothing, just as I predicted. Wish-washy views without basis even, how feebly sad. BTW...

Thought you said you liked to debate... you are aware that when serious adults debate that opinions are worth nothing if one cannot support them.

OOOoooops... Better watch out, here comes another windshield...

Obvious troll is obvious (but, oblivious).

Keep the rabble riled up, unfocused anger is all you have....

Not really a surprise. Their brinksmanship creates an unstable environment for business to operate in.

Small government isn't a friendly environment for big business.

Even the odious Koch brothers realized this and told their minions not to drive the economy over the cliff. They must have looked at their balance sheets and realized a default would have cost them hundreds of millions in net worth.

Got a link that shows they said anything like that? Didn't think so.

Hey, listen...cannot seem to get definitions straight, eh? We on this side never really get used to that from y'all, but we just deal, take heart with the fact that we are blessed, some just have not that capacity. BTW, it simply isn't trolling to call some blowhard silly "opinions" what they truly are, empty puffs of liberal smoke...

Here is a good thought logic experiment...

If you actually had to stand on your provided substance... how long do you think it would take you to fall all the way to The People's Republic of China? Should take you a little over 15 days by my crude calculations, depending on your exact location...take a Chinese-English dictionary to study along the way, that would be my suggestion.

Small government isn't a friendly environment for big business.

Well a lot of big businesses are big precisely because of or partially due to government contracts.

Halliburton
Boeing
Lockhead/Martin
Cummins
Northrop Grunman

... and countless others.

Koch Industries dismissed accusations it has endorsed the Republican tactic of linking language to defund ObamaCare to government spending bills.

“Koch has not taken a position on the legislative tactic of tying the continuing resolution to defunding ObamaCare nor have we lobbied on legislative provisions defunding ObamaCare,” Philip Ellender, Koch’s government and public affairs president, wrote in a letter to Senate lawmakers Wednesday.

linkypoo...

OK, you posted something that had nothing to do with what he claimed the Koch brothers did. What else will you screw up tonight?

Yes good old Halliburton. They had one, or was it two years, of record profits since Obama has been President? The no bid contracts Obama awarded to them was a big plus for their bottom line. What's missing? The phony outrage from the leftists.

Funny, you haven't offered anything but your opinion on this thread. Yet you are so damaged when someone else has an opinion.

You attack the posters, not the issue.

Stay angry and unfocused, you are much easier to control that way.

Au contraire', oh giver of completely substanceless posts...

I think my post on how fast you would fall through your, thus far, substanceless fluff all the way to Red China was probably pretty accurate. The diameter of the earth is approximately 7,926 miles, adding to the equation the speed generally achieved in free fall [ hard to determine friction through the actual alternating thicknesses of the fluff, no doubt interspersed liberally with a thin, sometimes thicker, effluence ] per second, etc... have to do some converting to feet and then determine how many seconds would be involved and then how many hours equaling how many days... you can independently verify...I could be wrong and its only an estimate.

You have presented nothing upon which to actually factually debate. Here, I will give you something myself then... here is a website listing the various Tea Parties throughout the nation... you show me the links to the Koch bros or some such, where they are financed and so bought and sold astroturf as I think you put it...implying they are not real grassroots...

And then you can show us how all the various Tea Parties are Talibornagains, I think you put it... the only clever thing, however wrong, that I have seen in your posts. Being a T partier and not having any religious affiliation, nor ever been asked to provide such, wondering where your facts are on that as well. Now, we can agree that most of the Tea Party folk are good solid, and that usually means religious, citizens...but the influence of religion on the movement, while guiding people's hearts, is benign and only for the good as far as I can determine...show me otherwise with facts...

Tea Party Groups - Locations by State

Oh and this wiki reads pretty interesting about the National Tea Party Federation

"The Federation requires that member groups reject Birthers, 9/11 Truthers, racial discrimination, hate speech and acts of violence and subversive behavior."

So there it is, go ahead...show us.

You sure do love to hear yourself talk, all those words, and yet you say nothing. Yes, there sure are tea party groups, but they are still a fringe, they have low poll numbers amongst all voters, and their hero Ted Cruz has very high negatives. As for the Koch brothers, I don't have links, my opinion is that the TP is astroturf, someone is making money off all the fools. Talibornagains...yep, that is my name for the socons that want to have a theocracy in america, plenty of zealots out there, good for you for not having a religious affiliation, that is wonderful anecdotal information.

As for your attitude in posting, you are very defensive, and needy, otherwise you wouldn't have been sending me PM's to try to make an argument personal and nasty.

You have your opinions, that is your right, I have mine. But you take it way too personally, to the point of being a troll. Don't get your blood pressure up, this is just an internet discussion board, you don't win anything, LOL.

Obama is as stupid as the Tea Party for this reason. One, the Tea Party did not read how bad this shut down would alienate people against them. Two and equally stupid is how chaotic this launch of "Obama care" is. Did not one person on the committee to set this ridiculous "system" up challenge the reality of the number of responses coming? This is going to be a disaster that will take years to remedy. Why is Obama saying experts are being called in to fix? Where were these experts when it was being set up?? We are going to see a giant mess unfold before our eyes as this sand pit continues. Doesn't this rhyme with the way the bill way rocketed through Congress without anyone reading it?

You'd make a great libertarian.

You know, you're so right, the inability to actually debate, to back up a single expressed thought but to assert "fact" as if you had even a pinkie finger-hold on some truth...absent anything even approximating substance, nah, that doesn't waste anybody's time here I am sure. Here, while making such assertions would be so so impressive, maybe on Huffington Post or something... coudda hadda shot, coudda been a star...

I mean if one obviously does not really care to research one's assertions, and your own words so indicate this to be the case, to the extent of imploring others to approximate a similarly apathetic stance, to not take things such as facts, logic and proof so seriously...this, especially after having openly exposed so many of those views to be so seriously, embarrassingly, ill informed... I mean, why would one do that to oneself? And just how is an opposing poster to do ANYTHING but make it about your opinions, you have absolutely nothing else. The old zilch nada nothing approach to debate, eh?

Not a winning strategy, and about a dime [ and people thought a dime cannot buy very much anymore ] a dozen here.

You do not have to put yourself out to reply, unless you want to actually back up your silly astroturf or Talibornagain slights... with some actual evidence.

Yanno?

WASHINGTON — Campaign donations to some of the House's most prominent Tea Party insurgents tumbled in recent months, and several of the chamber's most conservative new members struggled to match the fundraising pace of their business-backed primary challengers, new campaign filings show

Some insurgent Republicans see weaker fundraising

Of course they tumbled - they have to pay 2x as much for Obamacare now...

Just like small businesses continue to tumble and minor "chain stores" continue to tumble...

Do you actually believe for a nanosecond that the Tea Party can afford to contribute now that government has just jacked their healhcare up 100% not to mention the IRS targeting them (if not drastically more) in some situations? -- that was what we "used to call" disposable income -- now that is GONE.... Or at least will be gone...

Apparently the progressives believe that the middle class owes the federal (not to mention the state) government(s) 75% of their gross revenue.... and if we object we're "Nazis and tyrants." Meanwhile the progressives in the Beltway are playing aristocrats...

As far as I'm concerned this is a legislative coup on capitalism and individual wealth as we know it...

Now that, folks, is a most succinct confirmation of exactly what I was saying... Congrats!! You outdid yourself.

I am impressed. :lamo:lamo:lamo

Move on already troll. Even a two line reply from you is a waste of a read.

You moved past pest into the creepy stalker mode.

Some insurgent Republicans see weaker fundraising

Some do, and some don't.

Also, the article, comparing fundraising quarter by quarter, conveniently omits the fact that in the previous quarter there was a spike pro-tea party sentiment, on the heels of the revelations about discrimination by the IRS, among other things.

But the most amusing part is this implied notion that the "corporate elites" are somehow getting "disappointed" with the tea partiers. They have never been "charmed" in the first place. There are a few individuals who happen to be both "captains of industry" and ideologically libertarian or close, and those do contribute to tea party activities, but mostly we are talking about "pragmatic pro-business types" who always supported the "establishment Republicans", and keep doing so, quite naturally. After all, the incestuous relationship between the "corporate elites" and the government is an integral part of the status quo the tea partiers are rebelling against.

When completely outflanked you should just stop posting. That would be my suggestion...

No, just bored with a needy troll like you. You haven't done anything on this thread but make attacks, I'm sure it makes you feel good, but it is boring and predictable.

Civility...try it on for size. Go find another poster to stalk and obsess over.

Exactly! Big business and big government are now working hand in glove as we can see by the 'bailouts' and the government investing in private businesses with no apparent oversight. Big government can now refuse to answer questions if they choose not to and eventually it all fades away to be replaced by a new scandal, no responses, and so on.

The Tea Party is actually on the side of the middle class but, as big government and big business joined forces, their message is being distorted by those who seek to create greater power and wealth for themselves. Meanwhile the middle class shrinks, the poverty level grows, the debt increases, and more and more power resides with the bureaucracies.
