For all this horsesh*t I read here all the time about how "progressives" (which I generally take to mean "people I disagree with" when conservatives, be they self-declared or obvious, start yapping) have some hidden agenda, or aren't being truthful about their "leanings." What, exactly, do you think these people want to do? I'm curious, because I've been following this for a long time and if there's some secret Plan X that "progressives" are just waiting to implement, it's been a long goddamn time and I haven't seen what it is yet. Sinking your Battleship?

I generally chalk it up to "I need to label someone a communist, so tag, you're it." It's like the Cold War never ended.

Whoa, total misrepresentation of that exchange. My use of that particular clip was a MISTAKE, not a LIE. I guess I see what kind of person I deal with here ... you credit me for acknowledging the error in my source in one thread, then accuse me of lying in another.

All I see is you giving me ups for actually acknowledging my source for one thing was faulty in one thread, and going all Harvey Dent on me and calling me a liar in another. Well, you know what they say ... fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice ... uh ... you can't get fooled again.

In this particular case, we don't know for sure. But yeah, I'd say that pretty much all politicians slap the backs of family members, big donators (if you're Don Seigleman, theis will land you in jail :roll:) and people who have scratched their backs. Do yourself a favour and watch (if you haven't already) last night's 60 Minutes.

Yeah, that demo congresswoman lending her campaign money at 18% that she pockets doesn't look good eh? Wonder if she'll get re elected....Corruption is great isn't it?

The point of the piece is that what she did... and others like the Senator from NC who hied his daughters to run his campaign, was COMPLETELY LEGIT & LEGAL. Politicians create their own regulations so it's no surprise.
