Insurers reportedly receiving faulty data from ObamaCare exchanges [W:143:248]

Re: Insurers reportedly receiving faulty data from ObamaCare exchanges [W:143]

Bigger than the Vietnam War, the invasion of Iraq, and the government shutdown?

Yes....

Re: Insurers reportedly receiving faulty data from ObamaCare exchanges [W:143]

Wow, that is big.

Not bigger than the war on drugs, though.

No, but the potential is there...same with Social Security.

Re: Insurers reportedly receiving faulty data from ObamaCare exchanges [W:143]

No, but the potential is there...same with Social Security.

The potential is there.

Particularly with the dysfunctional Congress unable to fix any of it.

Re: Insurers reportedly receiving faulty data from ObamaCare exchanges [W:143]

That contradicts your previous claim that the medical provider is the slave.

As I said, you keep losing track of your argument.

No it doesn't. I never claimed that the medical provider is the slave. The medical provider is providing a service in exchange for compensation under terms that he agrees to voluntarily. As I said. You've lost track of the argument.

Re: Insurers reportedly receiving faulty data from ObamaCare exchanges [W:143]

There is always the feel good story in Oregon where the woman with cancer who was on Oregon's state run universal health care received a letter from the state that passed on two bits of news: 1) Her cancer treatment would no longer be paid for and 2) Euthanasia was legal in Oregon and covered by her insurance.

So warm and fuzzy....

They are not 'fixing' anything when all they should do in your eyes is lay down....

I'm not sure when I've ever said that Congress should lay down.

Re: Insurers reportedly receiving faulty data from ObamaCare exchanges [W:143]

In terms of cost ABSOLUTELY!

Hardly. I'd be surprised if Obamacare cost more than Medicare Part D.

Well, earlier you started using the same arguments of the progressive left, I assumed that you wanted the same outcomes.

Hardly. I'd be surprised if Obamacare cost more than Medicare Part D.

"This will only come as a surprise to President Obama’s most gullible admirers: The Congressional Budget Office (CBO) now claims that the president’s signature health care legislation will cost hundreds of billions of dollars more than originally predicted. So naturally, the media are running headlines claiming ObamaCare will cost less.

No serious policy person ever believed the original CBO gross cost projection of $938 billion (over 10 years) made when the bill was rammed through Congress in March of 2010. Working to achieve an acceptable CBO “score” (i.e., cost projection) is just part of the game Washington plays with legislation—and the American people.

To begin with, the costs in the legislation were back-loaded: Many of the costs won’t emerge until the latter half of the initial 10-year projection, ending in 2019. And sure enough, when the CBO issued its update in March 2011 the 10-year gross cost projection through 2021 jumped to $1.44 trillion. The just-released 2012 projection tags the gross cost at $1.76 trillion through 2022—nearly twice the original cost. Surprise!"

I don't really think you lost track of it, because I don't think you're stupid.
That's still the argument. It hasn't been dropped. If you have a right to health care, then someone must provide it for you.
The slave is the one who is forced to provide a service for you.
It's not that difficult a concept.
I'm sorry that you can't remember from page to page, from day to day, what you posted. What is really sad is that even when your own words are presently presented, you still deny your own words.

I hope things get better for you.

Good luck.

1) She is alive isn't she?

No, she is dead.

2) Euthanasia has never been legal in Oregon, you're confusing it with doctor assisted suicide which has stringent rules which make it difficult to qualify.

Doctor assisted suicide IS euthanasia.

Not a great batting average there, chief.

Re: Insurers reportedly receiving faulty data from ObamaCare exchanges [W:143]

Assisted Suicide is without a doctor present. Euthanasia is in the presence of a doctor.

There are several forms of Euthanasia (ie. voluntary, involuntary, non-voluntary), but doctor assisted suicide is one of those forms.

Still 2-0.

All the Doctor does is prescribe the drugs, he is not present. The patient can choose the take the drugs at anytime. In some cases the patient never takes the drugs before dying naturally.

That isn't true. States tend not to be very amenable to letting people leave a doctor's presence carrying lethal doses of poison.

The outcomes being that Congress laid down? Is it naptime for them?

Where have you been?

Sounds like you're right there. According to this, Medicare part D costs only $62 billion a year vs (according to your figures) somewhere between 93 and 170 billion.

Of course, Medicare D is a lot more limited in scope.

Re: Insurers reportedly receiving faulty data from ObamaCare exchanges [W:143]

Obamacare wouldn't need to be fixed if it had never been enacted.

But the health care system still would.

but, on the other hand, it still does.

Re: Insurers reportedly receiving faulty data from ObamaCare exchanges [W:143]

if it's in anyway structure like the mass plan or ACA, it isn't viable without the individual mandate

It is if you have very limited enrollment periods, or penalties for late insurance. Most employers don't require their employees to buy their health insurance and it works out great. Due to the fact people get only a month or so a year to enroll.

But even if we did go with a tax penalty, more people would participate since the GOP plan didn't require insurance to cover anything more than what the consumer wanted. So the young and healthy could still buy super cheap plans.

usually employee group plans are a form of compensation, with the employer footing a percentage of the bill. This isn't the case here where the full value of the plan will need to be covered by those healthy individuals

Re: Insurers reportedly receiving faulty data from ObamaCare exchanges [W:143]

I'm not sure how much that matters, given many healthy employees choose to not take advantage of their employer plans.

My own employer has awesome benefits besides health care and I feel crazy not to take advantage of every one of them, but they all have some cost, so I can't take them all.
