Opposition to "the gay lifestyle" is nowhere near a "vast majority." Your side lost all four ballot measures in the 2012 election.

Me, I'd suggest that "majority decides the rights of the minority" is not a belief that most Americans actually hold.

37 states have banned SSM.

These are no longer surprising stories. The size of the town makes this fairly trivial. The news story actually is about the publicity boast by Stephen Colbert. Without him there would be no national media coverage and I would not expect the tourist novelty to remain for long.

while i agree with you about the size of the town but ordinances in towns and cities and state laws and constitutions adding these things will continue to be new until SCOTUS rules on equal rights for gays or ENDA passes in the houses.

.
So you rely on some Governmental agency to mandate compliance to your false narratives but you'll never change the fact that a vast majority if Americans think the gay lifestyle is abhorent.

Exactly what is the 'gay lifestyle' and how does it differ from the straight one?

I think it more likely that SCOTUS will nickle and dime it on rules, rather than a sweeping one. It's hard to predict when the House of Reps would pass ENDA. Opposition to gay rights is still a Republican candidate's in the Republican Primary acid test.

I dont think SCOTUS will be able to nickle and dime it, once the issue hits them directly they will have to rule IMO. But im not sure when that will happen, my guess is 5 years at the absolute max.

Now i think SSCs will nickle and dime it. The best part is the state banning is exactly whats going to HELP SSCs grant equal rights for gays. Just a little bit of poetry.

Im also not sure about ENDA, the fall of DOMA help greatly but i dont see that happening soon but it would be great if it did, and if that happens before SCOTUS then it will force SCOTUS.
