2 Islamic militants dead, more hostages freed in Nairobi mall terror attack

Re: The religion of peace takes responsibility for the dozens slain in Nairobi.

How does a religion claim responsibility for anything?

Unless there's one overseeing decision head of ___ religion which governs all activity - I don't see how this is possible. Certainly, there isn't any one such individual or collective within Islam. It is, in fact, extremely divided with a large number of its followers being appalled by such actions.

The Islamofacists shed a negative light on Islam. Muslims should want to eradicate the people who bring shame and disgrace upon Islam.

Why do we see outrage when someone draws a cartoon and only get lip service when Muslims murder innocents in the name of Islam? I believe it's because most of those 1.6 billion Muslims don't agree with what they're doing, but they damn sure agree with why they're doing it.

Re: The religion of peace takes responsibility for the dozens slain in Nairobi.

Those 1.6 billion people should police up the nutjobs that are showing them in a bad light.

I can't help but seriously question those 1.6 billion people who claim to condemn Islamic terrorism, while they sit back and do nothing to combat it.

It's already been pointed out by two or more here that maybe they are afraid of them. Al Shabaab has stated that this attack is in retaliation for a US backed Kenyan invasion of Samolia in 2011. So we could start by not poking the tiger. Minding our own business and taking care of our troubles at home which are HUGE.

1.6 billion Muslims ought not be condemned over the actions of a few hundred thousand zealots.

actually fundamentalism is a pretty big issue in the islamic world and is no way limited to an insignificant minority (such terms might even define a majority). Radicalism is much more limited, but, again, I would hardly call their numbers insignificant, given the amount of pressure they have been able to leverage in various insurgencies

Christians need to clean their house of what ? Terrorist ?

And as long as Israel exist they have every "reason" to continue their terrorist acts.

So should the Jews start packing up and heading back to where they came from ?

That's a whole other topic and a Jewish problem.

That's a lame excuse and I don't buy it for a second. They're not afraid to kill and pillage over a cartoon.

Re: The religion of peace takes responsibility for the dozens slain in Nairobi.

We do. When we get our hands on them, they suffer serious consequences. Timothy McVeigh found himself executed in record time, as well he should have been.

Those 1.6 billion Muslims excuse, even cheer on the actions of the Islamofacists.

All 1.6 billion of them. Such hyperbole weakens your position.

Moderate and passive Muslims would certainly be afraid of people that have no compunction to blowing themselves up, chopping people's heads off and eating people's hearts. Furthermore, if those moderates did attempt to confront the extremists they would be up against the heavy fist of the US because they are our ally's now. Has that escaped you.

Where is CAIR? Where is their outrage to the terrorist attack in Nairobi? Are they calling for swift and decisive action against Al Shabaab?

Show me one Muslim org that has given us anything other than lip service over the latest attack.

If they're going to sit back on their laurels and do nothing, then they can't bitch when they're criticized for it. If they don't like it...do something about it.

NAIROBI — Religious leaders in Kenya have condemned Saturday’s terror attack in an upscale shopping mall in Nairobi that has so far killed at least 59 people and left 175 others wounded. The inter-religious council said the attack will not divide Kenyans along religious lines, but terrorism will make its people strong to face and defeat militants.

Speaking to reporters in Nairobi, religious leaders under the umbrella of the Inter-religious council said the terrorists will not succeed and their actions will not scare people from living in an open and free society.

Reading the statement on behalf of the religious leaders, Supreme Council of Kenya Muslims Secretary General Adan Wachu said despite the latest attack which is being claimed by the Somali militant group al-Shabab, the Kenyan people are united to face the challenge.

Our mostly one sided MSM doesn't seem to like to focus on this much.

A common complaint among non-Muslims is that Muslim religious authorities do not condemn terrorist attacks. The complaints often surface in letters to the editors of newspapers, on phone-in radio shows, in Internet mailing lists, forums, etc. A leader of an evangelical Christian para-church group, broadcasting over Sirius Family Net radio, stated that he had done a thorough search on the Internet for a Muslim statement condemning terrorism, without finding a single item.
Actually, there are lots of fatwas and other statements issued which condemn attacks on innocent civilians. Unfortunately, they are largely ignored by newspapers, television news, radio news and other media outlets.
Contrary to common image, many Muslims have spoken out against 9/11 [1] [2] and terrorist attacks in general.[3]

Re: The religion of peace takes responsibility for the dozens slain in Nairobi.

So you mean to say that there are 1.6 million Muslims in the world and not 1.6 billion?

Since those who support Islamist objective run into the hundreds of millions, your intentional deception of trying to claim a number just a fraction of the reality is what is at issue here.

Heck,in Pakistan, alone, the number runs in the tens of millions.

Like I said...lip service.

More lip-service.

Does your Imam condemn terrorist attacks?

You justify terrorism against Jews, so I would be surprised if your Imam condemns it, either.

Re: The religion of peace takes responsibility for the dozens slain in Nairobi.

All 1.6 billion of them. Such hyperbole weakens your position.

Considering that the article YOU have listed mentions that 38% of your fellow Muslims support terrorism to at least some degree, whose position has been weakened again?

Re: The religion of peace takes responsibility for the dozens slain in Nairobi.

Well that's all I'm getting from you.

Oh, that hurt! Snappy come back!

I say we wage unlimited warfare on the Islamofacists and destroy them through force of arms. The Muslim world can either be with us, or against us.

So how many countries do you want to invade?

Where have I justified terrorism against Jews? I condemn all forms of terrorism by all countries and groups, anytime, anywhere, for any reason. Your thinking of someone else.

Yes I'm well aware that your hate runs deep. So long as all you hurt are the Islamic extremists, have at it.

38% is not a majority. I bet we could find similar numbers or greater of Americans that support our war on terror/Muslims that has killed far more innocents then they have of ours.

Re: The religion of peace takes responsibility for the dozens slain in Nairobi.

Why not? The Catholic Church has been condemned for the actions of a few priests by many of the people that defend the Islamic murderers that would gleefully sever their heads from their bodies with a dull knife if given the opportunity.

Condemning the Church is hardly condemning every practitioner of Catholicism, as you're doing with Islam. I'm a hard-liner against terrorism, but poverty and ignorance are more to blame for Islamic terrorism than the religion itself.
