House Bill Defunds Health Care

The Senate will not pass this bill, and the leaders of the House know it. All they are doing is playing political games.

Its either that or do nothing, with the same result. The Dems want money to spend. They require the Republicans to allow it, so what are the Dems going to offer in trade?

So before you get care for a heart attack you must prove that you can and will pay for your care? Describe the process for that. Thanks.

Whatever the providers of the service decide. Its their business. Youre welcome.

There are no death panels
there's no rationing
no one is getting any waivers
the ACA isn't causing tax increases
nor job losses or increased debt

when will you all start saying these are good things?

How is it a "political game"? The disaster called Obamacare is preventing people from getting jobs and regulating many others to part time job status. Not to mention many people losing the insurance they already had or making insurance to expensive to get or keep.

If the Dems insist on destroying Americans future with this disaster law they passed, they can and will pay the price again at the voting booth. For the GOP, this disaster law that the Dems are totally and completely responsible for, it's the gift that just keeps on giving. Either way, defunding of the disaster Obamacare or GOP gains in the Senate, America wins.

If and when the GOP is voted enough power to repeal the law, they can feel free to do that.

Until then, they are holding the American people hostage in order to take legislative power the voters have not given them. Actually shutting down the government over this will hand the Democrats yet more electoral victories, and if the GOP thinks otherwise they're delusional.

Hahahah yet another one who thinks death panels are a thing.

It ain't nuthin' but a lil ol thang
Guess you are another one of those that thinks
Obama's stash is endless?

Are you one that actually thinks the federal government will "shut down" if the Dems in the Senate and the President don't pass this bill that funds the government to keep going?

If so take this clue to the bank, the federal government will not "shut down" if the bill is not passed. Critical parts of the federal government will continue to function either way. But what it will show, is the Dems are more interested in denial of reality, Obamacare is a total disaster, than the American people that will be inconvenienced or lives interrupted. In others words, more proof that the Dems don't give a sh*t about the American people.

whaddya mean it isn't all free?

It's a political game because they know that they can't repeal "Obamacare" and because they have nothing to put in its place if they did.

All they're doing is leaping, hooting, and pointing fingers. If the Congress does manage to shut down the government, that's exactly what they will continue to do, each blame the other party.

Hoot, hoot! Your party did this! Hoot, hoot!

nothing needs to be put in its place, the ACA's place is in the dustbin of history

Really?
So, we don't need any health care system at all?
or did you mean that we should go back to the patchwork system we had before?

You didn't read what the House passed.

So if the hospital kicks you out of their facility because they have decided you can't or won't pay and the ambulance decides the same thing and you're told to leave their property what do you do. Oh, that's right, you die at the curb. Your family can't sue because it's only up to the hospital judgment as you suggest. Neat environment you want to live in. I'll consider it. Thanks.

Shutting down the "non-essential" parts still has significant impacts on people.

"But but but costs are going up under Obamacare!!!"

Then I wonder if people have the memories of goldfish, because what the **** do you think was happening before?

I'm not sure that their memories are quite as good as those of goldfish, particularly when attributing the rising cost of health care to "Obamacare." Costs have been outstripping inflation for a long time now, and will no doubt continue to do so.

But, when it comes to partisan politics, memories can be almost as short as actual facts.

Yep. Especially those that bought into the flat out lie that Obamacare will reduce the cost. Oh that's right. That lie hasn't been repeatedly lately. Obamacare has been proven to increase costs as predicted by those on the right side of the aisle.

That's a lie I don't even remember having heard, except in the title "Affordable Care Act." Did anyone really believe that "affordable" meant cheaper overall, or merely subsidized by government? If they did, then they were living in a fool's paradise.

"Obamacare" might provide more access to the health care system, but it will do nothing to control the costs, which have been out of control for decades now, and could result in increased costs.

But its opponents will, goldfish like, attribute all of the rising costs to Obamacare and then promise their constituencies to overturn it, which they can't, and then blame all of the outrageous health care costs on Obamacare.

all that instead of coming up with a workable plan that would actually reign in costs. What a circus.

Well lil guy
ruinous rates of taxation
business stifling over regulation
runaway inflation through devaluation of the currency
and a sky-high public debt
sure as hell has a far greater impact on people than not being able to visit a bloody National Park!

horse puckey I haven't had health insurance since the early 90's my costs have been zero. the supposed meellions without insurance that this bill was supposed to cover are going to have to pay a fine!!! AND STILL NOT HAVE COVERAGE!
Reality isn't something you seem to have even a passing acquaintance with.

Oh, so because you're a freeloader who is going to try and dump your medical bills on everyone else, health insurance costs haven't been skyrocketing. :lamo

"Supposed meellions (sic)?" What, you think that's just made up? They all actually have health insurance? (and for some reason you dont)

And I have trouble with reality, you say...

funny thing is you actually believe that
you also prolly believe if you don't have medical insurance
YOU WILL DIE!
well sonny yer SO wrong, its no wonder insurance companies get so bloody rich
I went into an ER in the 90's after losing a fight with a circular saw
they said: do you have insurance? I said no I have CASH!
Then I proceeded to ask them 'what is the price' they hadn't a clue.
If you went to the grocery store, the car dealership, barbershop or anywhere else
and they couldn't tell you what the product or service cost what would your reaction be?

My wife still laughs about it: your getting stitched up @ 1:00 O'Clock in the morning, complaining WTF is the price!

It was just over 500 bucks for some stitches Tell you what That was a total flippin' rip off for sure
