Federal tax on gas has not changed under either of the last two presidents:You guys are missing the point....Obama specifically predicted what he was going to do concerning energy, he projected that energy prices would "necessarily skyrocket".... Through tax
Federal Gas Tax Passes Another Milestone: What Is The Future? - ForbesThe federal gas tax has remained steady at 18.4 cents per gallon for the last 16 years.
But it's not happening. You want people to believe a lie. Gas prices have been between $3 and $4 for years now under Obama, just like they were for a couple of years at the end of Bush's run as President. The financial crash of 2008, predictably, saw gas prices fall significantly, but once the stock market recovered, so did gas prices. The price of gas per gallon has been relatively unchanged for roughly a year now.and increased regulations that is exactly what is happening
I'm not blaming Bush, just noting the fact the price of gas rose $3 during his presidency and comparing that to the relatively stable price gas has been under Obama.and instead of honest looking at this, the usual suspects are doing the usual thing, blaming Bush
No, YOU use Bush as a comparison. Your entire thread is a comparison of Obama to former presidents. Be honest already.using Bush as a comparison (even though Obama has seen the longest high price records ever)
Then get a job that's closer. Ride your bike more. It's not Obama's fault you have the job you have nor is it Obama's fault you don't ride your bike.I am spending $60 per week on gas for two vehicles to get my wife and I to work, and back. That's in a 4 week month $240.00.
Actually, food costs went up significantly last year because of massive droughts across the country. This is well-known and documented. Please try a little harder if you're going to insist on spreading mistruths. That works out to the kind of expendable cash that I can't spend in the economy on entertainment, goods, services, vacations, etc. Not to mention groceries (something I know a little about because I deliver some of what y'all buy at the grocery store) have risen as much as 30% to 40% from last year alone. This is due in no small measure to transportation costs.
If by "nothing" you mean:You greenies, where is the propane powered vehicles? Where are the cheaper alternatives? Obama sure did make it a point to give a lot of my tax money to these companies that were supposed to be developing these things, and now nothing?
Brian Keane: Obama's Solar Story Shows Success, Not FailureHere's the real news: The price of solar decreased by 50 percent during 2011! 50 percent! That's a game-changing number that has resulted in a jump in installations throughout the U.S. and Europe, according to a recent Bloomberg report. Indeed, here in the U.S., new spending on solar energy jumped more than 30 percent to $55.9 billion in 2011, surpassing the 1 percent gain in China to $47.4 billion. These are astounding numbers and show real movement and vindication for President Obama's solar policies. Bring costs down -- and people will buy it.
...then sure. Whatever.
Uhh, it was already gone. You're not very good with honesty when it comes to money, are you? Or is it just Obama you have a hard time being honest about?Except my tax money is gone
All the while ignoring the fact that most of them are still in business and some are doing well. I know that goes against the dishonest narrative you like to push, but it matters to people who care about the truth.and more and more we are served up another story on how the millions, or billions given to a company like this that went belly up, was actually owned by another Obama crony....
So...you DON'T want to talk rationally about this then?Bush is gone damn it, this is OBAMA! And I am damned tired of being played by him and his disingenuous political bull!
