How the Syria Plan Broke Through, Just in Time.....

Let's say you are kind of a wimp. If a big bad bully came over to punch your lights out, would you hold your 6 year old daughter in front of your face hoping he won't punch through her to get to you? That's a human shield. You still not against them?

What I'm against is US involvement, interference, again, in another ME countries internal affairs. In this case arming training and giving material aid to the Islamic extremists that we have been fighting for a dozen years. As a prior soldier, I'm surprised you don't, too!

I hate every time we send a single dime to Middle East or put a single soldier in harm's way. But what do we do? Islam is a cancer and if we do not remove it from our species in a hurry some muslim will eventually get nuclear weapons and our whole country will be the target. Should we be proactive or reactive about this horrible cult and the people that follow it?

I don't think it's wise to broad brush 1.6 billion individuals by the radicals, which exist in most all religions by the way. And another point, US foreign policy in the region for tens of decades maybe a hundred years or so has gone a long way to radicalise many Muslims. On top of that, the US has been giving aid and training to radicals for a few years now. And, after much complaining from congress about it, to cover his ass, Obama has signed a waiver on the ban that disallowed states to arm, train or give material aid to terrorist organisations. Do you see these radicals messing with Canada or brazil, how about Japan. No, but then we don't see those countries building bases all over the ME and violating nations sovereignties either. There are reasons that radicals hate the west in general and the US in particular, but then as long as that's ignored, things will remain as they are.

There are seven billion people on this rock, and a few billion of them are muzzies. You can't make everything an individual act. You have to paint with broad brushes. Arabs hate the West and USA is the leader of the free world so they take the brunt of it. Don't forget, peaceful islam has committed mass murders in Canada, Japan, etc. Here is a quick link of the major attacks - many different flags in there, including some of the countries you would suspect to be free of all the political drama: List of Islamic terrorist attacks - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

You didn't speak to the heart of my post you quoted.

I agree with you that USA has been training bad guys for a very long time. I don't agree with that. Like remember when Reagan illegally sold arms and air force parts to Iran then funneled hard US currency from the sales directly to the Contras to support their terrorist activities in Central America? I was totally against that. Or when the CIA trained OBL his guerilla tactics to mess with USSR during their Afghan invasion? Against that too. But to my point - the radicals of islam attack a lot more than just USA. They have attacked at least 30 or 40 countries in my lifetime. In this day and age I think it's quite easy to train without formal government staff to educate you. Case in point - when I was in the USAF as an airbase security platoon leader; the famous person who talked about anti-sniper tactics and perimeter security was a guy named Major John Plaster. Some time ago he wrote a book that comes with a video called "Ultimate Sniper" and it goes through everything from terrain movement to weapon usage to target acquisition and elimination, to concealment. You memorize that book and you could take out any person at any time up to about 800 meters with a Remington 700 and a solid piece of glass; and those are available at every Walmart and gun store on the planet. A Remmy 700 with tuned trigger is the foundation of every police sniper system in America as well as the USAF M24 sniper rifle. My point is - nowadays there is so much information out there that any freakshow muzzie jihadist can pretty much learn on his own and become a serious killing machine. And don't forget Uncle Sam even says it is perfectly legal to buy binary explosives in the mail now. Tannerite is a hoot; but if you bought a thousand bucks worth of it and put it in the trunk of a car you could take out the occupants from 500 meters easily. And there are tons of other chemical compounds you could make easily. I would say McVeigh proved that quite handily when he got back at the FBI (esp. Lon Horiuchi) for what they did in Ruby Ridge and Waco. And while McVeigh was certainly a decorated war hero with solid Iraq experience; I am pretty sure he designed those IED's based on data he obtained on the Internet via Google.

Let's not forget the abhorrent murders of American citizens on USA land:

Or injecting AIDS and VD into mentally ill women and prostitutes to see how fast AIDS and other STD's spread:

There you have it. For every finger we (the US collectively) point at (pick your target) there's three pointing back at ourselves. And to repeat, US interference for a century in the ME gives them good reason to be pissed off. Just imagine a country hugely superior to us had been interfering with our internal affairs for a century. We too would be retaliating in unconventional ways.

If you are taking the position that Americans caused 9-11 you are barking up the wrong tree. I have no compassion in my heart for islam. It's an evil cult and it didn't need USA to be the perverse cult it is. It was sick long before USA ever existed.
