I wasn't aware the case had already gone to trial and the killers were acquitted based self defense?

And no, this gentlemen could not have looked like Obama's son. But he could have been Obama's father and then too this would have been a tragedy.

And what racism? What are you talking about? They criminals who did this have not even been arrested. As of yet, there is no reason to assume that this war hero was killed because of race.

In the Trayvon case there was a racial element to the case. Trayvon was not shot because of his race but his shooter did get out of his car because of Travyon's color and appearance.

If civil rights champions or the president would have to react every time someone is killed by someone of the opposite racial profile they would be doing nothing else. With more than 10,000 homicides a year and subsequent trials they would have a 80 hour work week just with reacting to crimes like this.

A presidence has been set. When Obama spoke on the TM case. Which he should not have. He now has to speak on this and other similar cases. Bet he wishes he would not have opined on the TM case now

If the tables of this incident were turned, and it was an 88year old black WWII vet that had been attacked in that parking lot by two white teens, the calls of a racist attack would be deafening....And you know it.

No, outlets like MSNBC, and Al (race extortionist) Sharpton set the narrative that it was, and you bought into it.

GZ was acquitted, and no charges of a racial crime were brought. You are simply wrong on this.

So far there is no word on if this poor old guy was even robbed. I'm not sure why this is so hard to nail down though either his wallet was gone or it wasn't.

The media is just saying that right now without anyone official giving details...Although I could have swore that yesterday when I first heard this reported on the radio, the reporter stated that, police were calling it a failed robbery attempt, but nothing on the individual was taken....

If that is the case, then why call it an attempted robbery when they don't even have the suspects in custody to determine motive? Is this the media trying to defuse the racial tension if this turns out to be just an attack for the sake of attacking a white person by the black teens?

The poor victims in Oklahoma would never have shot that Aussie if A-he hadnt been jogging by and B-the city had done things to help their boredom and C-if it werent for the NRA and the evil republicans putting that gun in their hands, what with letting them buy that assault weapon without a background check and all.

The sad thing is...this isnt a freak occurrence and it didnt just suddenly start happening. At some point people may have to actually address a very real problem.

A Department of Homeland Security manager in charge of buying weapons and ammunition for the government is, on the side, running an inflammatory website that throws around gay slurs and advocates the mass murder of "whites" and the "ethnic cleansing" of "Uncle Tom race traitors," according to the Southern Poverty Law Center.
Ayo Kimathi, who calls himself the “Irritated Genie,” told his supervisors that the website was set up to sell concert and lecture videos.

His website, “War on the Horizon,” declares, “in order for Black people to survive the 21st century, we are going to have to kill a lot of whites – more than our Christian hearts can possibly count,” the Alabama-based SPLC said in its report.
One of Kimathi’s former supervisors at DHS told SPLC’s Hatewatch that, “Everybody is the office is afraid of him,” and that his co-workers are “afraid he will come in with a gun and someday go postal.”

I doubt you will get this...but it isnt about a comparison of the Zimmerman martin INCIDENT. It is a comparison of the dismal response of civil rights 'leaders' and their conspicuous absence unless the victim is anyone OTHER than black. It is about a moron president that feels the need twice now to jump into civil situations to pander to black people without knowing the facts and in the process making himself look like a complete idiot.

So you think Zimmerman would have stepped out of his car if the boy was not colored? I doubt it. I have already stated, the killing itself was not racially motivated but the targeting of Trayvon was IMHO partly based on the color of his skin. I have heard of black kids sleeping in a car were reported to the police as "suspicious" even when a couple of white kids were trashing a car only a few dozen yards away in full view of everybody.

Yes, he was acquitted of murder. But no charges of racial crime does not mean that he did not target Trayvon as a suspicious person because of the color of his skin. It has nothing to do with what happened afterwards with how or why Travyon died. Not everything that has to do with race will immediately end in a crime or a prosecution.

It might have been smarter to be silent. But a president is just a human being with human feelings. He did not say anything outrageous IMHO or attacked Zimmerman.

And talking about agenda? Crimes like this are also often used for an agenda. One agenda (I am not claiming or suggesting or accusing that this is what you or other posters on this forum are doing, I am talking in general/stories I read outside this forum) is trying to complain about why black civil leaders have not spoken about this murder (aka, they hate white people and don't care if they get killed).

There was no proof that GZ racially killed TM either, but that didn't stop you and others claiming it was from the start.

I don't think he knew for a certainty what color TM was at the start of him noticing him as out of place in the neighborhood. He told the 911 operator, "I think he's black...." not "He's black...." So this is just you adding your bias into the case.

I have been thinking the same thing, either it was robbery or it wasn't. If these black kids beat an old white man to death and didn't even rob him it opens a huge can of worms that most people do not want to deal with.

The narratives are different because the crimes and the aftermath is different. Had this been one black guy who got caught then released because he said it was self defense do you not think there would be outrage? And yet you are all bringing color into it while blasting the other side for doing the exact same thing. But nobody who is doing that is seeing they are doing the same thing. That's what they don't seem to get.

Or how about we simply adopt consistent standards and stop trying so hard to negate the race factor when it doesn't fit in with our agenda?

No, because in the inverse the same calls of racism would be there, only difference is either you would agree then, or remain silent....

Hitting the news now though, police in WA, make one arrest, so it won't be long before we know....
