The only redemption here is that he might get parole after 10 years. He probably won't though - they'll keep him for the whole 35.

In the meantime...the corrupt TX judge who sent dozens of innocents to prison for a kickback got 3 years.

He will not because that would be political suicide (or at least a shot in the foot) for the dems. The vast majority of the country agrees that Manning committed a crime. It's only a fringe that applauds him.

Most voters believe the WikiLeaks release of classified documents is likely to have hurt U.S. national security and think the American soldier who helped make the information public on the Internet is a traitor.

Manning will be eligible for parole in 11 1/2 years and he will certainly get parole.

There are other incentives that will get him out in 4.

I doubt that...... The vast majority of progressives and other Obama ball jugglers such as the RINO's do...

To real patriots the man is a hero.... Despite the fact he's a gay guy with gender issues (so much for the theory that us "tea party/libertarian" individuals hate gays")

Our government(s) are tyrannical....

Aren't you all concerned by our governments activities? like; killing people, domestic spying, partisan retribution on political parties, censorship of speech, religion & expression (just to name a few of their breaches of oath(s).....

They're sworn to uphold the United States Constitution - yet our government and the politicians that makeup our government conspire to destroy it....

"real progressives" are communists who attempt to cloak themselves in sheep skin hence "progressive" and not "communist."

Progressives have absolutely no problem breaking out of the sheep skin when they're amongst themselves - then they show their true fascist communist colors.

Soldiers and politicians honor the Constitution and that starts with "WE THE PEOPLE" NOT "WE THE GOVERNMENT."

GO learn something - Manning was upholding the Constitution.

You ever bother to think the government IS a domestic enemy??? - It's our government that are violating the Constitution every day.

What makes you think for a second our federal government has the right to do whatever it wants both foreign and domestically???

I'm sure you have absolutely no problem with our government spying on US citizens whenever they want without due process as well???

I recall an Army Infantry plt ldr William Calley- convicted of murder for the massacre of 22 civilians in a small village, My Lai. His sentence of life went to 20 years on the various appeals and clemency boards. he ended up serving 3 1/2 years of house arrest at his quarters in Ft. Benning Ga.

I guess that liberal thing started back then and Nixon was a part of the scheme... :roll:

The military has always been a tough crowd to get heavy sentences. Those who demanded the military try the Gitmo prisoners thought a Military trail would be far easier and more severe... it turned out the military wasn't the bully crowd some congress critters hoped.

I couldn't see him getting more than 20 and like many have said, i doubt he serves even the 7 or so years.
