Tea Party Favorite Cruz releases birth certificate

It's funny how birthers refuse to address Cruz's situation but love to pontificate about Obama's situation.

We know for a FACT that Cruz was not born in the USA.

Yes or No... is it a problem for Senator Cruz to not be born in America to be President?

No problem at all. In fact, I think we should wave any requirements in Cruze's case, since we are in desperate need of a President that understands the Constitution and will enforce it, as opposed to what is happening now. Besides, what's the problem, requirements seem to be quite relaxed nowadays?

Do you not see the obvious cognitive dissonance of your comment? We should wave the requirements given by the Constitution regarding who can be president of the nation, so that someone can uphold the Constitution. Seriously?

Yes, of course I do. It's done with tongue-in-cheek. But I'm also trying to be like some liberals, who don't want things like Obama's background investigated, but will send droves of reporters to Alaska to turn over every stone investigating Sarah Palin.

There is no reason to track your source of the quote. Whether you were misinformed by the source, misread the source or simply chose to withhold the fact that it was fake doesn't really matter. They all make you look bad.

The "subtlety" in you post was posting a fake Reagan quote about George Bush as a warning to Dems? So "subtlety" to you is defined as "pointless unverified gossip"? You should have skipped the quote.

only in your eyes and in the eyes of other cons, and that's a badge of honor I wear with great pride given the values of the right in this country, especially the "Party first, country second" one ...

and it appears that you have yet to capture the subtlety of the post, and you're starting to bore me ... if I see you post something interesting, or misleading, in the future, I'll respond, but for now, gotta get some work done to help support folks in the red states ...

Dunno where they got it from as they didn't say. What they did say was that Obama was not the source. So ascribing that to Obama is nothing short of ridiculous. And again, a year earlier, the NY Times reported that Obama was born in Hawaii.

According to the conspiracy nuts, he must have been telling some people he was born in Hawaii and then changing that to Kenya and then back to Hawaii again.
:screwy

He may well have done because it is said that he got into Harvard, despite disappointing grades elsewhere, because he was a foreign born student.

It's funny how birthers refuse to address Cruz's situation but love to pontificate about Obama's situation.

What is Cruz's situation and what is Obama's situation? How are they linked?

Well, first, is that poster "right wing"? Not likely as they are libertarian.

Second, they clearly state that they believe Obama is a natural born citizen and eligible to be president, so they aren't a birther either.

first...yes.....there are a lot of people who claim "Libertarian" that are extremely right-wing. There are also a lot of Republicans that claim to be "Libertarian" because they are too ashamed to admit to being Republican.

Second....people can say anything....but as is the case with you as well, their posts say otherwise. Take post #314 for example.....he claims out of one side of his mouth that he believes Obama is a natural born citizen...while out of the otherside still questioning the birth certificate. Somewhere there is a twilight zone theme playing......

It is also said, that most of Obama's critics are racists. Just saying "it is said" ...

Good point to bring up about people that say one thing out of one side of their mouth then say, or do the exact opposite out the other.

Has Obama ever said what caused him to completely change his mind on what he said was the requirement to have both parents as American citizens for someone to become president? He was very firm on that.

I dont think it makes a whole lot of difference. What amazes me is the breath taking hyporisy from the right wingers. But hey, it hasnt be the party of morals and ethics for years. Glad they quit saying that...

Yep, good 'ol hypocrisy. Nothing like it is there? Maybe you can explain Obama's change from his firm stance that it took two American citizen parents to become President of the USA to the position he later took? He never bothered to explain why he changed his tune. Or maybe because you are out of breath you choose to ignore Obama's hypocrisy?

How long should they have been a citizen?

So if a 12-year old billionaire who lives in Ohio wants to run for the Senate in Delaware is OK with you?

Hell, why not? If the voters judge him worthy, why not?

What about someone who won't swear or affirm that they will support and defend the Constitution?

Have you seen our last 20 Presidents? Did they actually support and defend the Constitution? The oath is effectively nothing more than ink on paper even though its an oral oath.

I wouldn't put the cretins who throw around the word 'racist' any time the facts about Obama are raised in the same league as his former (non) classmates and the WSJ.

Obama's Lost Years - WSJ.com

hey grant ... don't shoot the messenger ... all I said was "it is said" ... pesonally, I don't think that the majority of Obama's conservative critics are racist ... only about 49% are ...

What is Cruz's situation and what is Obama's situation? How are they linked?

you're right, they're not ... Obama was born in this country, Cruz wasn't ... I'm with you on this ...

Birther alert!!!

REALLY! Come on, it's right there in front of us ... personally I'm afraid he may be a Manchurian candidate, posing as a conservative and when he becomes President he'll convert the country into a communist country. His father fought with Castro after all. :alert

Cheap ploy is cheap.

I hate 0bama as much as anyone, but Jesus...lay off the birth certificate thing. Five years in, and no one cares anymore. Focus on the Democrats' horrible record instead.

I don't hate Obama at all but...seriously...there's so much **** you could fling at him, rightfully, wrongfully, dependent on your POV, whatever....why focus on a tired old conspiracy theory? That's the best way to get no one to listen to you.

Unless you have evidence to support your message it's all rather garbled. I submitted links. You cannot.

Fair enough, but you'll notice this thread was begun by a 'liberal'.

So....your time on the DP conspiracy forums has not been wasted, I see.:)
I, myself, am on a much needed sabbatical from the conspiracists.
One can only talk to a brick wall for a limited time.

Where did I say that?

It must have been a rough day. Get some rest.

"He may well have done because it is said that he got into Harvard, despite disappointing grades elsewhere, because he was a foreign born student." Post 380

Nevertheless it was a rough day and I'm about to turn in ... thank you for your concern ... that was very sweet of you ...
