Obama clown get second chance

Ernst says that started with the Tariff Act before the civil war. In fact, many of the Madison scholars on here feel no heed to pay attention to the BOR. And the rest of the amendments, well they ruined our Constitution. But witch constitution?
Progressive = moving away from our Bill of Rights.

We haven't heard from Missouri federal pols, like Roy Blunt, have we?. They learned their Akin lesson.
Well take that up with them. Maybe the Missouri state fair just wants to be apolitical? Like just provide a means for people to get together in their state and enjoy the rodeo/food/entertainment without divisive politics taking over?

I think the outrage was over the announcer asking the crowd " do you want to see Obama get run down by a bull?" Mutliple times and the clown played the part of obama

Like that is supposed to change the fact?

If you believe a person can be fired for ________ then that has to apply to everyone - it has to be universal..

One just cant support it because it was Obama then turn around and condemn another for doing the exact same thing just out of disagreement..

Well, they blew that opportunity, didn't they?

This is exactly why I generally refer to our "Bill of Rights" while others refer to our founding documents as ignorantly and generally as the "constitution."

I'm not a big fan of "vagueness" because it's an open door to tyranny.

Apparently you don't understand the First Amendment - nor the situation (as if the situation even matters).

You're judging not to mention hold an ignorant position given the notion that free speech limitations only apply to criminal acts..

Oh and don't even attempt to hate those who are calling bull**** because as a libertarian I'm using the same argument you use to justify your riots and your OWS movement..

It seems as if you don't understand the First Amendment...it's a limit to what the government can do in regards to speech. It doesn't say that speech never has consequences.

Congress shall make no law
respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances

You seem to have the ignorant position. You apparently think the 1st Amendment is some blank check for someone to exercise their speech and that somehow overrides other's right to in turn exercise their speech and petition/boycott/criticize etc.

Not sure about the gibberish at the end.

I don't think the first ammendment protects speech that involves some one being harmed or killed. The announcer was asking the audience in effect " do you want to see Obama run down by a bull" that sounds like the announcer wanted to show the crowd the supposed hilarity of a clown playing the role of president Obama being run down and possibly injured by a bull.

No you don't understand the First Amendment!

There is no ****ing amendment that states "If I'm offended all civil liberties are suspended."

Did your mom ever tell you to treat others how you wish to be treated? did you misconstrued that **** with "anyone who offends me should be banned?"

Meanwhile, while we debate the merits of a rodeo clown mask that looks like a president, all hell is breaking loose in Egypt and we've made nary a comment about it today.

They've got us where they want us.

No, if I get on a radio program and tell you to go murder progressives it does (not because of free speech but because I commanded you to murder and you did it) - I would be held responsible for that, but if I put a mask on and ran around like a clown while mocking Obama it would be protected.

The very nature of what this clown did is why our First Amendment exists - to prevent persecution and allow individuals to freely state grievances. The simple fact this is being deputed tells me how ignorant our society actually is - that or people are extremely partisan to the point of throwing civil liberties out the window because they're totalitarian nuts....

You have to be kidding.

Like anyone cares about that...

Progressives are too busy worshiping Obama like he's Jesus hence dissent is a no-no.

I don't think so...I think their statement is check your politics at the door.

That may have been what they wanted to convey, but the aftermath of this situation is anything but apolitical. They might as well not have a rodeo at all next year.

Politics are one thing, but humor is something important. Clowns are sent by Satan to suck humor from the world and **** it out as bricks of evil which are then fed to puppies to make hellhounds.

Maybe..and if the PBR? (or is that just bull riders) decides that they won't participate in places that want to remain apolitical they have a right to do that as well.

Wow...so now this is a civil liberties issue? The individual has a right to get paid by the Missouri State fair in the future regardless of his actions or statements?

Did your mom ever tell you to treat others how you wish to be treated? did you misconstrued that **** with "anyone who offends me should be banned?"
No she taught me patience which is the only reason this conversation has been going on as long as it has.

Dude. I thought everybody knew that. P'shaw....

Yes this is a civil liberties issue...

We're obviously on two different planets here.

You can't even relate to my position and facts.

Amazing...

Or maybe they'll decide they want to participate in places that are apolitical and avoid the Missouri state fair.

I believe that progressives are under some sort of delusion that progressives should be treated better then republicans...

I suppose we the Bill of Rights only applies to democrats and when it's applied to republicans (or anyone that doesn't share their ****ed up perspective) it's favoritism or whatever-ism..

Then the DNC denies they're bat**** crazy?

Not that republicans are fascist - they're just less fascist because they're cowards while they're on their magical mystery tour of proving progressive slander wrong...
